I was certified in November 2019 after attending a CNA training program in Hawaii Job Corps (Oahu, HI). In the program I was able to attain my HIPAA, Blood Borne Pathogens, and Basic Life Support. I have since then attended Western Iowa Tech where I received my prerequisites for Nursing 1. Because of the pandemic I decided to take a break from school to work and make ends meet. My Hawaii certification unfortunately expired before I could have it transferred so I have been working as an uncertified caregiver . Luckily for me, it's something I've always enjoyed doing. My name is Jordan Fivecoats I grew up with my mom owning adult foster homes. I worked in the adult care home industry for over three years specializeing in Trumatic brain injuries. I started working At 18. When I was younger than 18 I volunteered at assisted living homes and helped around the house with activities and helping the residents eat, I read to the residents and just enjoyed helping them out, and that's what made me want to spend my time with elderly people.
