My attraction to the medical field came on taking care of my husband whom had sickle cell. Once his passing I stayed in the field and continue taking care of people and I've been in the field now for over 20 years and I would not change my choice of job

I have worked in long term care facilities/settings, not only caring for the residents needs, but making sure that they are taking their medications with the correct dosage and scheduled times. I administer their medication where I have to count for narcotics at the beginning and end of my shifts. I have self-gratification each time that I am of aid to my patients and I feel very satisfied when I give care as well as having a smile on my face to cheer up my patients.
