Hello, I'm Jennafer. I previously worked for a VA Medical Center as a nurses aid. I loved my job, unfortunately I moved and it was too far in distance. I am CPR certified, and have experience with most common elderly illnesses and diseases. I worked with a lot of patients suffering from either dementia, Alzheimer's, diabetes, urinary, respiratory, cardiopulmonary, restorative, and more. I absolutely enjoy making people happy and being part of people's lives, which is one reason I believe makes me great at care giving. I love to talk and companionship is a big plus for me in the healthcare field. I am very compassionate about the care I provide and I enjoy the friendships I get to make. I am always looking for ways and opportunities to better my skills and care. Just for a little extra info, I do speak some spanish, however not too fluent; I also play several musical instruments in which I got to share music with some of the residents I cared for. I have had the amazing privledge of being a care giver for 30 yrs. Starting when I was 16. I feel gratitude for having found my life long passion at such a young age, and to have maintained a constant joy in my service to others. My personality traits are caring, funny, determined and helpful I have always taken care of people with disabilities, old and or mental health issues and substance abuse as well. I was born to be a caregiver that's all I see myself doing. I love it..it may get hard at times but I love the work and the people. My personal achievements are obtaining my Medical assistant certificate, pc certificate and I am in the process of obtaining my HHA through my other job I just need to complete 500 hrs and I will obtain that as well.
