Hi I am a 42 year old single mom who loves to take care of people. I have over 20 years experience taking care of people.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I pay attention to details. I do exactly what I'm told, asked and also give advice according to my expertise and I tell the truth about what is needed when it matters. I first started working with elders within my monastery taking care of their basic needs and taking them back and forth to doctor's appointments and following their doctors care of plan. That transmitted to my professional work life as a certified nursing aide, as I work in the nursing homes and also in private home settings. It brings me joy to see those who are in need of help receive the assistance that they need without taking away their dignity and also giving them the extra help that's necessary.... at the same time allowing them to do what they can for themselves. I have a broad range going from helping those with terminal illnesses all the way to those who just need extra assistance around the house. There is no job too big or too small for me to do.

Hello! I started out as a certified nurse aide in the year 1999. I decided to help care for people when helping care for my great grandmother. It felt great to be able to be there for someone in their time of need. I have since cared for so many different types of ailments, diseases and people who need general household help. I've ran errands, did light cleaning, fed, bathed, assisted with walking. Cooked meals, taken them to appointments, also sat as a companion. I've helped others go through hospice care, cancer care, Parkinsons, dementia, alzheimers, sundowners, after surgery care, wound care, broken body parts, stiff body parts...lots of different things. I've been helping the elderly population for 24 years now. I enjoy being there, listening/talking with them, going out to lunch or shopping. Staying in doing puzzles or watching old westerns or just simply being there for them in any way I can. I've spent time with others on holidays as well. It's interesting to spend time with people and hear their life stories of "how it used to be" or to see how town was in the 40's or 50's or back when there was horse & buggy rides to school...enjoy it all. I like to spend my time with my grandbabies also doing crafts or watching my favorite series. Family is everything to me, we all try to be there and help each other as much as we can. I became a caregiver to help those who need help. I love to see the client/patient regain their independence. Some do not recover however, and making them comfortable is very important to me. When I do my job properly and the patient is content and happy.

HELLO! My career as a caregiver started with a chronically ill father. Throughout my childhood and in my early teens my dad was very ill with diabetes Type 1. When I was 5 years old my dad lost his eyesight. As a preteen I participated in his care helping with blood sugar readings and Insulin injections. When I was able to drive I help out by taking him to doctor's appointments. I went away to college and lived in Florida for a few years and as my dad became progressively worse I moved home. I became increasingly involved in his care as my mother was worn out and had a very full-time job. At that point I decided to change career paths and go to nursing school. My love of taking care of people is a direct result of the experience I had administering Loving Care to my father . I considered to be a dedicated and resourceful Private Duty Nurse. With an exceptional record of in-home health care provision I am able to function well independently in home medical emergency situations and to coordinate regular care regimens with physicians and other hospital staff. I am a 51 year old mature mom of 2 adult kids. I am an artist in my spare time. I enjoy reading, taking walks and nature. I play guitar and enjoy singing:) I love people and learning about them and their life. I am very patient and kind & enjoy helping.

I love helping and seeing a smile on people's faces. Anything for a good time is worth it.

I fully believe we all have a calling in life. This happens to be mine. I've been a certified nurses aide since I was 18 years old. I've worked with all facets in which the job could entail. Private and in house facilities. Dementia/Alzheimer's - the blanket of it and it's branches, quad and paraplegic inflicted folks. Colostomy care as well as wound care. The list goes on. However, whatever the aliment, or the the age, we are all people, with feelings and tempers and day to day challenges. Sitting down with someone, hearing stories about their loves and accomplishments, simply giving them time and attention is what I see is most important. The smiles, hugs and love make my job worth it each and every day. I would be happy to sit down and meet you, your family and loved one and see if I am the right fit to help them carry on, when sometimes life seems like it's taking simple tasks away from them and comfort and ease them into a new chapter. I am 49, with two grown children. Caring for others is what I do best. It's in my nature to be patience, compassionate and respectful at all times. I am very clean, organized, and love to cook. I'm not afraid of hard work. My best achievement, was retiring from my career in finance to become a full time caregiver for my husbands grandparents. To provide the care they needed, so they could stay in their home, was a very rewarding experience. I am currently in the process of moving to NY to live near my brother, and I'm look to get back to work as soon as possible.
