Hello! My name is Krystal! I am 27, I have two children! I have been a caregiver since childhood, it just came natural. My uncle was handicapped, and a slight medical miracle, his continuing life surprising us every day. I spent my childhood taking care of him with family. At age 6, my cousin was in a car accident and left a quadriplegic with a severe wound in his stomach that required a wound vac, a halo, and several tubes and IV's. Carefully, I always helped with almost all of his care needed. My mother managed the Alzheimer's unit in a nursing home, I spent almost every day there after school. My passion only grew. I started CNA classes in 2010 in high school, finished in 2012 and started work in my local nursing home soon after. I've continued to work my way up, and had dreams of being a pediatric surgeon, but my children and seeing them grow up was more important than my career. I need to be here for all of their small moments. I've been working from home lately, and while I feel my current job does have a purpose, I would love to be back out there, actually caring for my people face to face. I miss the interactions and connections I build with them and their families.

What makes me a good caregiver, is that I will always put my patients first. I'm caring, loving, patient, and I always be there for them when they need me. What attracts me I'm being a caregiver is because I love doing it. I fell in love with that helping my grandma when I would go visit in Texas. It is what got me into pre nursing school in high school and then I became a CNA and worked at a nursing home and I loved my patients. If they needed something I would make sure to get it if something would make them happier or smile I would go the extra mile for them. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is being there for them. One of my most personal achievements that I'm proud of is when I decided to go in healthcare or childcare. I love giving. I have been a caregiver for the last 9 years. I have been certified for the last 5. I am CPR certified and able to pass medication, check blood sugars and give insulin, also knowledgeable of peg tubes and kangaroo feeding pumps. I have a clearance with OSBI and a clean driving record . I also do not smoke.

I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide since 2016. I absolutely love what I do and helping others. I'm currently in nursing school to become a LPN. I'm very compassionate about my work and am excited to further my education in the field.

I worked in a nursing home before moving to Oklahoma as a cna and I would still like to help individuals in need. As of right now I work three days a week. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. The rest of the week I'm available to help where I'm needed.
