My name is Tars'Jah Cook and I am mother of one amazing son. I am a happy spirited person who loves to laugh and make others laugh. I love being a caregiver because it brings joy not only to those I help but to myself as I get to know all the wonderful people around me. My proudest achievement is receiving my bachelor's degree in human services while home schooling my son during the pandemic and working as a registered behavioral therapist.

At the age of six my father who was my only living parent had a massive stroke. From them till the age of 13 my brother and I cared for him in the in all areas of showering, toileting ,giving him his diabetic shots, fingersticks, and medication. From a young age I knew the significant of being a caretaker, and the compassion and understanding it would have on others who I might care for in the future. I come from a long line of men and women in the medical field. My mother at 33 was the president of respiratory therapy at a Paris Texas hospital my father at the time was LVN . I have two sisters that are RN's. We love what we do and I care for others as they are my family.

What makes me a great kid great caregiver is that I have excellent personality and outgoing friendly sincere dedicated hard-working. I like to think that each of my clients is a member of my family. I treat them as if they were my grandparents or my parents and even my siblings. I like to think that if I wasn't around to help any of my family and someone came in to help them they would treat them the same way as I would treat my clients.

I design and started a restaurant back in 2018. I had it for 4 years and sold it. I now work at Fisher59 for the second time. I enjoy cooking. I enjoy the little things in life. I make good money where I am at but at the end of the day, I feel something is missing in my life. I took care of my grandma and my husband grandmother their finals days. I remember how the little things mattered so much. I find myself unhappy with every day. No appreciation! Just expectations! I want to be happy again. I want to be around appreciative people and I want the little things to matter again. I do Not mind cleaning or cooking or bathing someone! My heart will show in how I treat people. I do not do bugs. Asking if the home has cockroaches or bed bugs. I do not feel comfortable entering! Sorry but just not anything I want to be around. Dogs or cats I do not mind helping with them either. Just ready for my life to mean more than building displays for beer! I would open another restaurant however the work force is Not there. By far the hardest thing I had ever done in my life. I can handle stressful situations!

I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide since 2016. I absolutely love what I do and helping others. I'm currently in nursing school to become a LPN. I'm very compassionate about my work and am excited to further my education in the field.

I have been a caregiver for the last 9 years. I have been certified for the last 5. I am CPR certified and able to pass medication, check blood sugars and give insulin, also knowledgeable of peg tubes and kangaroo feeding pumps. I have a clearance with OSBI and a clean driving record . I also do not smoke.

I absolutely love working in this field it's very rewarding. I treat all my residents with the utmost respect and give them the best care possible!
