I got into the Nursing field because I wanted to be in a career that helped people, I wanted to bring joy to people in unhappy situations.Working in Nursing Homes a lot of the workers are there for the wrong reasons, I understand that I am one unfortunate incident from being in their shoes and will want someone kind caring for me. And if could bring joy & happiness to someone in their last days I want to.

I am a very open minded tireless working young man.i live in Fairfield but originally British and Ghanaian.I am a motivated man ready to work and work to the best of my ability .i am a fast learner and never stop learning. Everyday is a new experience and I learn and upgrade as I go .I am also a PhD student currently and running three stores.

Working for the boys and girls club made me realize how much of a people person I am, but made me want to help people as much as possible. So I decided to pursue nursing as a career. I'm starting off with CNA/HHA because it's one on one direct contact and interaction with the patient. I have 4 years experience as a caregiver, I'm well experience with hoyer lift, sit to stand lift, catheter care, bed sores, aphasia, and my specialty is in dementia/Alzheimer's.

I became a caregiver because i was brought up taking care of my grandmother's n grandfather's when they were challenged by doing even the simple things,i love doing this because it gjve's me the fullfillment that i was able to Do something good by providing comfort and care.I have been a caregiver for almost 3 yrs now and graduated as an LVN last 2014...I am a very jolly person,i get along with all my co-workers im hardworking and dedicated to my job.

. I am very compassionate about caring for others in need , I think it is important to offer help ; big or small to those whom need it . I've always took care of the my elderly grandparents whom raised me . I've seen how much my help , helped them & now see how many are in need of the assistance . I enjoy the moments when it seems like they are 25 again , when we dance and sing , when we finally can get out of bed, or help with simple daily needs with out total assistance, the days when I can console someone about the grief of state of life at the time they are in; , cooking their favorite meals . The whole entire aspect of being in someone lively hood to make it better . Bringing happiness anyway I can . . When I became a certified nurse assistant , it was the biggest test of my life . I went through every possible emotion , I endured and became stronger on the other side of it . Every night I went into taking care of 22+ patients , even times when I was the only cna on the floor 65+ residents . The nurse told me to just answer calls lights , but I wanted to work , I cared enough to stand the whole 8 hours changing. Feeding , and giving care to every patient that night . I was very proud of myself , especially because no one expected for me to go that above & beyond . I have many many moments as a cna that showed me who I was , and how strong , loving, and hardworking I can truly be . Even when I'm tired I still push through with a smile , and excellent attitude . That made me very very proud of myself .

I became a caregiver because i care and have the passion of putting elders first. Being a caregiver i like taking care of sick people that needs my help gives me joy in my heart.
