It is a profession that i was drawn into when my grandmother became diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I cared for her in the last two years of her life and assisted her with such things as bath,grooming, and incontinence care . I also assisted her with mobility tranfers, and provided transportation to and from doctor's appointments.

I have been an Elderly caregiver for 8 years. I have a lifesaving CPR license, Medical Assistant, phlebotomy ,CNA certified. I have flexible hours and can work some holidays. I decided to become a Caregiver when I was searching for assistance with my parents and found that my options were limited by cost and availability. I went back to school when I was 42 years old, graduated 2 years later with honors, a 4.0 GPA, Deans List and a Associate of Science Degree in Clinical Administration and Medical Assisting, following that up 2 years later with getting my Registration as a Medical Assistant. So many times I wanted to quit, I was the oldest person on campus, besides the professors, and I was even older than a few of them, but I stuck it out and I am so proud that I did. I love what I do, I'm very lucky.

Being a caregiver helps you find the kind person inside of you. Therefore I care for the elderly as if there where my loved one.

HAVING A CALLING IS WHAT SETS ME ASIDE FROM JUST HAVING A JOB OR JUST DOING THE JOB,I ENJOY WHAT I DO AS I AM CAREGIVING TO MY LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, A BIG PLUS FOR ME IS WHEN I CAN MAKE MY LADIES AND OR GENTLEMEN SMILE THEN LAUGH OUT OF THEIR DEPRESSION THEN TO SEE THEM ENJOY LIFE AGAIN, (WOW) THERE ISN'T ANY WORD THAT CAN DESCRIBE THAT KIND OF JOY.I ALSO HAVE THIS PERSONALITY TRAIT WHICH IS I TRULY CARE FROM THE HEART PEOPLE CAN FEEL REAL LOVE,AND THAT IS HOW I CAREGIVE.

What makes me a great caregiver it's because I have always cared for family friends and now my child. I have also care and provided for my mother who is a new amputee. I have always worked in the medical field. I have volunteered at Mercy Southwest hospital for five years. Through the years I have donated my time giving back. I know how hard it is to trust someone with your member. I am a honest people person, unreliable with my own car. I hope I can be of service to you . My personal achievements are having my son at age 41 and become a first-time author 2018.
