My name is Kenneth . I have over 5 years of experience as a caregiver in both residental homes and senior home facilities . My goal is providing an excellent quality of service in the areas of customer service, caregiving needs in all aspects of the client including, cooking, cleaning the house, administering medications, and taking care of all client needs including transportation and making each client feel comfortable on a daily basis. I am responsible, compassionate and highly motivated to help each client meet their personal needs and go above and beyond the call of duty. My experience as an in home caregiver includes taking care of many different types of clients including memory care, dementia and clients with limited mobility, wheel chair and special assistance needs such as using a catheter, lifting needs, continence care. I have CPR/ First Aid training and took over 40 relias training courses over a 3 year period. I also assist clients in changing their depends, changing into new clothes and bathing on a daily basis. I also focus on being positive and helping the clients to improve his/her self esteem and level of confidence and to partake in walks and other activities in the local community. I believe what makes me a great caregiver is that I always go the extra not just one mile but two miles just to make any client happy meaning making sure they're needs are always being met from the smallest task to a task that's challenging for them to do that they used to do. I am a happy person, have a genuine heart, trustworthy, punctual, honest, great listener, responsible, reliable, and I am a maximize. I am a self-starter if I know what's expected. I will always do things that the clients tell me I don't have to. I have the compassion, understanding; having the patience make a difference in your interaction with the client because they can feel a caregivers energy, and I personally always put out positive energy despite what mood the client may be in. You can always turn a negative interaction into a positive one just by being understanding and empathetic towards their situation. Giving back to the elderly community due to understanding that as people age things become more challenging when it comes to getting things done, I want to make it easier on the clients that may not always have someone to assist them and make it a little easier for them to accomplish a task. Also, clients have may not someone to talk to and or eat with, etc.. and they just want a companionship, and I can be that companion for them. What I like about being a caregiver is that the clients are sweet, funny, have a sense of humor, the clients families are supportive and helpful, I like building that report with them. A personal achievement I am proud of is when a client request me and misses me when I am not there; this tells me I have built that report and I've made a positive impact on that client.

I became a caregiver when I cared for my grandmother with cancer. I realized how much physical, medical and emotional commitment is involved in caring for your loved ones and how important quality of life and comfort care become as we age and with various health conditions. I have 10 years experience working in the field and CNA experience and HHA training, CPR and First aid certified, I keep up with 24 continuing education courses per year, have 8 years of hospice experience, expertise in all levels of care, Alzheimer's / dementia, Parkinson's, stroke, diabetic, wound care experience, ostomy and colostomy, respiratory , nebulizers, COPD patients, knowledgeable in all geriatric equipment, excellent nutrition & cooking skills, cheerful,compassionate, quality care is my goal!
