My main passion is Palliative/Hospice Care. Just being with someone at the end of their life is fulfilling. I also have a granddaughter in Australia who I helped look after who was born with Golden Har Syndrome. That was very challenging and rewarding. My Interests are Hot Rods, Rockabilly/50s music, Drag-racing, and Antique shopping.

Hello My name is Larissa I've taken care of my grandma for many years she passed away in December she had stomach cancer it was a hard experience but i know how hard it is to find someone to help with the needs of our loved ones I have experience in lifting wound care my grandma had cellulitis so her legs would leak I helped with doctors appointments getting in and out of the car showers medication everything that was needed to care for her

I just love helping anyone in need and I also like the companionship of hanging out and hearing all the old stories that the seniors have to tell. I recently took a class at Taft college called home health care aide and I'm very proud that I accomplished that and finished it. Now I am a State certified home health care aideand have had a life scan background check provided by the college.

My name is Jeffrey Vanderplate. I have been a caregiver in both my personal and professional life, for a total of around six years. I find that out of the occupations that I have tried over the years, that caregiving is by far the most fulfilling and rewarding job I have ever had. I also believe that it seems less of a job, and more of an extension of my ability to care for and be compassionate to people who may not be completely able to care for themselves , or who may need the companionship that is not available to them for any number of reasons. Aside from working with adults with developmental disabilities, and being a counselor for children with visual impairment, I cared for my father during his illness in the last years of his life. I have come to understand that everyone's needs should be met, with no exceptions or exclusions, and that people from all walks and in all stages of life have unique needs and all have incredible things to teach, whether they know it or not. With that being said, I believe that caregiving is vastly beneficial for all involved, and it is most certainly something that I am passionate about. I am a natural born caregiver. I became a caregiver originally on a whim and fell head over heels in love with the people and history they carried. I enjoyed the stories they had to share. I've been a professional caregiver for over 10 years now and have never felt as if I was heading to another boring job. I never considered caregiving a job due to the fact the love for people and their story still intrigues me.

Being a caregiver helps you find the kind person inside of you. Therefore I care for the elderly as if there where my loved one.
