I enjoy providing companionship and outmost care to every person I am with. I have also a great deal of medical experience. I am proficient in basic skills: personal hygiene like showers/bath, oral care, toileting, back-rub, dressing; Assists in activities of daily living such as serving & feeding, ambulating, positioning, transferring, administer meds & nutritional supplements, dressings surgical prep; Do & record vital sign: blood pressure, weight, pulse, temperature, finger pricking for sugar levels in diabetics; Measure & record food & liquid intake, urinary & fecal output and report changes. Encourage patient to exercise. Review & ask dietary restrictions, preferences, & allergies. Change bed linens, replace trash bags. Always check expiration of food & medicines. Know vital information about patient's condition, treatment plan & any suggested activity.. In a capsule, it is very important to respond immediately to patient's call for assistance and/or treatment with the goal of creating a safe, effective environment to make a difference in the lives of the patient & their families. Patience is a virtue inherent in me. I always work above & beyond my duty for the comfort & safety of my patients. I have a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Biology from the University of California, Davis and recently obtained my Bachelor's degree in Nursing from National University. Caregiver task is one of the most challenging roles that I had dilte with my own family and taking it as will undertake doing it as my own family or loveones. There is many tasks or skills I experienced on what it takes to keep a loved one safe and well once he/she has serious medical problems. I love making a difference in someone's life. Being friendly and enjoying building cherished memories for others. Learning from Senior family members many challenges impacting my life & increasing the value of companionship & helping them building their skills. Caregiving is a huge personal accomplishment, & I am proud of flexibility & determination. Even with a difficult health of my parent, caregiving can be one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I like to learn everything I can, get creative when I have to and do your best. I am grateful for anything that I managed to achieve. I managed to build a great skills. I am most proud of overcoming the adversity in life & hope reflection to others. But I found courage to pursue some dreams, studied hard and had a job at the same time to pay for my studies. It was not as an easy period of life, but here I am, applying for a great job with you. I am proud of being able to even get to this point.

As an EMT, I learned the importance of taking care of those in need during critical moments. Often times, the greatest satisfaction came from simply keeping a mother,father, child or grandparent safe and stable long enough for the family to be there with them and hold their hand. The relief I would see on the family's face, knowing that their loved one was being taken care of pays off in ways material things never could. I got into care-taking initially to make some extra income in a way that came naturally to me. Although I was no stranger to the medical field, I wasn't sure what to expect. Now, some time later, I can say that there is a satisfaction in knowing that I am playing a small role in a family's journey to best provide for their loved one. Being called a friend of a nearly 90 year old man who I've know a fraction of that time is something I will most likely always hold dear. Listening to stories of a childhood in a different era, a marriage that spanned over six decades, and the ups and downs of a life lived are all things not easily obtained. As someone who can't stand the sight of others in pain or misery, I look forward to providing compassion with dignity and care with expertise for your loved one.
