I have been in the Healthcare field for over ten years and have experienced pretty much every kind of situation plausible in the home health care setting. I became a caregiver when my father had cancer and myself and my sister were the only one taking care of him and I see the hardship that people go through when they're ill. I enjoy making people feel good , having them smile that's the best part . Hello, Firt of all i am glad to work with elderly people, nowing that i can be a help to them makes me happy. The reason why i decided to become a caregiver is because my grandpa is really sick and well i saw him struggling with his life by himself and i started helping him out and he liked to have my company. Once he told me their is no point in living at my age, and got me thinking.... I want to help him out. Now he likes me being around him and every elderly person i have taken care of were glad with my job. So that being said, i really like working and being around with elderly people. I learn new stuff with them.

Growing up as part of a big extended family taught me a great lesson about taking care of one another. My biggest responsibility was to make sure that my grandparents got everything they need and I remember that I used to look forward to run to them whenever I got home from school. Eversince then I found myself taking care of people. . I have the passion for it. I am very dedicated to what I do. I am loyal and passionate and at the end of the day, I believe clients under my care should be comfortable and happy and most importantly to feel safe and secure.

I have loved and enjoyed my profession since I was 16 years old when I became a CNA while in high school. I've always known what I be doing for a living because of my love to care for people who needed assistant. I am currently enrolled in college to obtain my nursing license so that i can continue to help people in need.

In 2009 my grandmother was diagnosed with dementia. In 2010 she had a stroke, an because of the disorder,she had loss of memory and other mental abilities severe enough to interfere with her daily life. I moved back to Ohio and moved in with her. When I moved in she didn't have the ability to do anything on her own. What I love about caregiving is just really being able to help a person in need. In 2014 I in-rolled at Bryman College for medical assisting and the school closed down 140 hrs into 200 hrs left at my externship site. I was determined to get into the health care field, so I enrolled into a new school and completed the program again. I've been doing in-home care for awhile and I love it. It took me awhile to find out what I wanted to do with my life, but after what me and my family went through with my grandmother, I find great fulfillment in my career choice in the health care field.
