I am a responsible, reliable and compassionate caregiver with years of experience in geriatric care within private homes and assisted living communities. I am recognized for my ability to provide emotional and physical support to clients. I have exceptional communication abilities as well as cultural sensitivity to deal with a diverse range of people. The reward of being a caregiver is priceless and my passion of caring for others comes from experience. One of my fondest memories is being in the kitchen with my Aunt, we love to cook together. It was everything I looked forward to after a long day at school or work. Then her symptoms of arthritis worsened and she was no longer able to do what she loved on her own. Helping my Aunt and others like her that are going through their process is the reason I am a caregiver today. It allows me to care for others in the same way I would want my family members to be treated.

I been caregiver since 2011 till I got the certificate as a Certified nursing assistant to medical assistant now on going to vocational nursing assistant. It's my passion to take care elderly because I feel it they are my family as my grandmother. I'm already 6 years working at skilled nursing at Oakland , I am working at general hospital at psychiatric emergency, it's nice to have a experience to work in that place because you'll see the what going on in that environment. I become a caregiver when i started working as part time and i realized, how big impact my rules for the elderly who's in need of our care. I like what i am doing since then and Im so proud of what I accomplished each time I finished my shift. I didn't realize , someone like me can be useful and Helpful and that makes me happy to go home knowing that i did something good to my clients and their family. I may not everything they need but I am very caring, confident of what Im doing , compassionate and trust worthy with dignity, caring loving and have a great sense of humor to make my client smile in my presence. I am from small island of Srilanka ,and back home I was a primary teacher and subject teacher in high school student for 8 years.Looking for kids have teaching experience for six years help for me to take care elderly kids. Year 2008 June I came to U S A as a Permanent residence. From 2009 I got the first client Mrs Sydrion Lofton .She was spinal stenosis client. For four and a half years she got lot of improvements while I took care her. But unfortunately When she had a surgery I lost my loving client. She treats me like her own daughter. She is a good friend to me. I lost first job,friend mother, teacher, well wisher. Honestly I like teaching job . and It take long time to cover the units. But when I stat the caregiving job , It's gives me more happy. and I need to help my daughter s college expenses also. So I choose caring Elderly people.

I became a caregiver because I have a passion with providing care to those individuals who need assistant with staying in the comfort of their home safely. I enjoy being apart of a team who promote clients to reach their highest level of independence. After, discovering I really enjoyed the kind of work that I do I went back to school and pursued my CNA/HHA and Acute Care license. I have five years of experience as a PCA, My first encounter was taking care of a stroke client. I'm independent, empathetic, trustworthy, reliable and really committed with the job I've been called to do. I'm currently a Geriatric Aide and working for the Center for Elder's Independence as well.

I'm happy when I know I'm helping people specially seniors... maybe it's my nature because I feel it inside my heart, this is my purpose here on Earth... I been to Israel working as a Caregiver for 8 years and 5 months and Proud being a Caregiver, helping elderly, and also I can help my family specially those time when my parents still alive... I have been a CNA for over 5 years I've worked in various acute care hospitals such as Highland Hospital, Kindred Hospital to name a few. I have experience in ICU, Step Down, GI Clinic, Same Day Surgery, Infusion Center and PACU I have a loving heart which I think a person need to work In this field I give my patients the same treatment and care tht I would someone to provide me with if I were In There shoes treat them with respect and you and ur patient will have a bond and that makes for a great care giver/ CNA

1. I became a caregiver through the inspiration of my late mother. She was in a vegetative state for almost 2 yrs. due to massive stroke. Reinvented myself from working in the corporate world (banking) to moving in the healthcare field. It's a different experience where one found joy and accomplishment working with the elderly.
