My name is Arlette, My journey working with seniors started when I cared for my grandmother when she needed the help about 10 years ago. After that I noticed I enjoyed caring for the elderly and spending time with them. I love listening to their stories and learning from their experiences. I see them and treat them as my family. I like to help them get the best quality of life under their circumstances. I feel a sense of accomplishment every time it's time for me to leave their house and they have a smile on their faces. That lets me know they are happy and feel safe under my care. I have worked with people suffering from different illness like: Alzheimer's and dementia, cancer, hospice, C Diff. I like to have a good and close relationship with my client's families and work together with them. I can provide letters of recommendation if they are needed.

I became a caregiver in August 2009 for my father, Brian. After a series of tests my father was diagnosed with early - stage of cancer. I have always taken care of my father because my mother was never around to provide support to the family. His condition is still in the early stages, but I am worried about the future. This situation brought my father and I closer. His condition has made me realize that this is career move that I wanted to peruse. I am not a caregiver by career but by choice. I am a caregiver that truly cares about helping others and want to make a difference in the lives of seniors and their families. As a young kid at 11 years old, I help take of my aunts mom who had Alzheimer's, took care of my sick brother who was in and out of hospital for 3 months. Later in my life when I got here I got here in the bus by 2008 I took care of my mother who just a had stroke she bed bound for over a year, I was 24 hours caregiver, she recovered from in the middle of 2010, and then early 2012 she was diagnosed of stage 4 lung cancer, I took care of until she past away four months later. After she past then I became my father in-laws primary caregiver as o have been already during the time my mother in-law is sick. My father in-law suffers from deabetes type 2, and dementia was there for him from the beginning until the end stage of dementia and eventually until he past away on June, 2015- I discover since I was young that I love caring for people I love to make people happy,...I know that caregiving is gift that I was born with, I know that this is hard job for a lot people if it's not nature to take on big responsibility. I take that responsibility seriously just like I would care for my own family.

I can speak both English and Chinese. I am a senior caregiver with CPR and live scan. I have the California Home Care Aid Registry. I have TB test and the flu shot in October. I had full vaccinated for COVID-19. I am super patient and caring . I think I have the gift of taking care of others. I have compassion on my work, I can put smiles on my clients' face.I am a good listener. I treat my clients as my own families with a loving heart.I feel proud of my job ,because I bring peace and love to them. I experienced; Alzheimer's,dementia,MSA and hospice care. I also experienced G-tube,suction machine, hoyer lift and catheter. I gave my clients not only life assistance but also loving.And I got love from them,too. Well my name is sarah I'm 41yrs old I'm a single mother of a 7yr old boy name cash and I have custody of my 2yr old nephew thunder ? I have been doing caregiving for over 20yrs it started when my mom had her stroke she was paralyzed from one side so I had to give her physical therapy giver her medications tend to my siblings but I've always been a nurturing person ! My baby brother had got really sick at the point of dying cuz they couldn't figure out what was wrong he finally got a little better they sent him home and I took care of him cuz they put him a pick line, I've also helped my friend with her parents until the y passed I helped take care my moms friend father he had dementia so I had to give him his medication also bathe him my last client I had just passed away back in the middle of march I was so happy that I could bring him joy for his last days here on earth his family said I spoiled him it's that he reminded and me so much of my grandfather so I'm just glad I can help people!!!

I am very patient and caring, and enjoy interacting with elderly. I started with caring for a relative who had a major surgery and helped with their needs. I found it very rewarding to help others. I feel my best achievement has been raising great kids!
