Encourage patient to exercise. Review & ask dietary restrictions, preferences, & allergies. Change bed linens, replace trash bags. Always check expiration of food & medicines. Know vital information about patient's condition, treatment plan & any suggested activity.. In a capsule, it is very important to respond immediately to patient's call for assistance and/or treatment with the goal of creating a safe, effective environment to make a difference in the lives of the patient & their families. A life of 90 years old man who could not take care himself and the family were so busy, and he was able to survive for seven years. I have been caregiver and CNA for more than ten years. I have worked in nursing homes, hospital and private duty in California, then I moved to Colorado for better future, Unfortunately my family won't move there because of cold weather. So at this time I'm back to California to be together with my family and looking for a job here.
