I'm a helpful person, very good listener, and a single mother who does everything for her child. I am a Certified Nursing Assistant and do work in a Nursing home and understand what is expected. Seeing other people happy makes my day even better. Meeting new people is a blessing and you build a bond with them. I'm most proud of everything I did to get where I am now and to give my child a better life.

Health Caregiver / CNA Inspired by taking care of my parents at home until they passed . My mother passed 6 years ago and recently my father .2 years after losing my mother. I have a great personality especially around the elderly !My passion is helping others in there daily routines in order for them to be independent in there own surroundings to feel safe in there own home is part of there wellness. I enjoy cooking for others Our roles in being a caregiver is to help others and the family members knowing that there loved ones are been cared for .I am someone who has a very passionate heart . I treat others as Iike my own family it's not just a job it's my passion and my loyalty to care . I Don't have a very positive and optimistic personality. My name is shorter then my be nickname; while is, Joyful (a high school friend gave me that name. So, yes... LOL, I'm very Joyful with a smile on my face). I was blessed to be a stay-at-home mother of three for 15 years, and then started getting back into the workforce. Family is the most important thing to me and love hanging out with family. I dance since the age of three years old, all the way up until I had my first two children, and I was an assistant dance instructor for about 10+ years. Back in 2009 to 2010 I worked as a water therapy assistant and water exercise instructor in Indianapolis, IN. I love to swim, go on walks/hikes, horseback riding, ride bikes, tennis, volleyball, travel, and many other things as well. I love to helping others, great multi-tasked, and have great problem solving skills. I am a very creative person and I am a visual artist as well (I'm able to draw anything I see)... so, I have a creative eye, love working on arts and crafts, puzzles, games, photography, interior decorating, and love working with pretty much all different kinds of mediums. I've been a HHA/CNA (with CPR training and Blood-borne Pathogens that I acquired during my HHA Diploma classes with A-1 Academy) for a few years now, and I have specialized with the mentally challenged and disabled as well. I also worked with AmeriCrops. right out of high school while attending college full time. I worked as a 1st and 2nd grader tutor at IPS schools, and assisted with aftercare programs, assisted with teen night every Friday night, was a Summer Counselor, and a student Dance Instructor to assist with hours for AmeriCrops. (It was Volunteer work with a one-year contract and salary position in Indianapolis, IN). I'm always a good friend, great helper with great integrity, dependable, and reliable.

I love to make people smile. Caregiving became my passion around the age of 12. My mother who is an RN, opened her first home care business. The rest was history as they say! Hearing the stories from the past, life lessons, experiences from people who were light years ahead of me. It's been a joy getting to know different cultures & views. My passion is helping those who can't help themselves. A majority of the people I take care of are veterans. I wouldn't have it any other way! Sacrificing for the people who have done for the same for us is nothing less than an honor. My proudest achievement would be that people remember me & ask for me even when my work with them is done. Even though I've been employee of the month multiple times. Nothing compares to hearing from your residents mouth that they appreciate you for all you do.

In my 6 yrs. of health care, I have transported, taught & trained mentally challenged Consumers their Basic Academic & Living skills in ADT. Which was very rewarding to see their expressions when they achieved a skill. l've lived in home with 6 Residents and performed total care, assist them in dressing, bathing and prepare their meals, while making sure their living Facilities were cleaned and organized. I was also certified to give them Medications. I also have experience in Elderly Care working in Memory Care. On May 23, 2022, I became a CNA.

I'm passionate,caring,loving,with a great sense of humor and understanding especially when taking care of a elderly. I enjoy taking care of elderly. I took care of my father for over 10 years until he passed away in 2014 of the age of 100. So I know how hard and sometime difficult for a family to take care of a loved one especially when they have Alzheimer's or Dementia. I worked privately ,for comfort keeper and currently with companion care,inc. I'm a CNA with CPR. Love pets ,so no problem with home with pets.
