I have been a caregiver for 11 years. I am a great caregiver because I am very attentive with the most patience and understanding of many personalities from the most compliant to the most stubborn. I am caring, I take my time in focusing on the needs of my clients. I became a caregiver when I was 18 years old after growing up in a family of care providers. My dad was fireman and mom was a nurse. Being a caregiver is more than a job, it is a passion for me. I believe wisdom teaches knowledge, and I view working with the elderly as a blessing. It is not just a paycheck but a gift to have the opportunity to help my clients. I have helped many clients and most until the end of their lives. My grandmother was one of them that inspired me to keep taking care of those in need. After her stroke, I took care of her for 6 years until she passed away. I have complete understanding and empathy of how important loved ones are to families. I treat my clients like they are my family.

The thing that makes me a good caregiver is the amount of love that I have to give to others,especially when they really need it.Helping people to face their lives everyday and be there when they need me is that made me be a caregiver.I am very compassion person and my heart feels good every time I do something to help them.

As a caregiver in the field of medical, I am a Dedicated home health aide , Med Tech who also obtained CPR is willing to obtain a position in you're home with my good interpersonal and communication skills of over 8 years of experience in this field. Around the country there are millions of people who serve as caregivers. Those who provide home care to others need to be patient. Being patient means that the person understands that there may be changes in plans, things may not go as quickly as planned, and there may be a little hesitation at times on the part of the person receiving care. Compassion. When someone has compassion for another they have an understanding of what the person is going through. Attentiveness. It is important when providing home care that the caregiver is attentive to the needs and changes that are taking place. By being attentive, the caregiver, will notice when there are emotional or physical changes in the person he or she is caring for. Dependability. Those who need home care don't usually just need it sporadically. Rather it is on a regular basis, so it is imperative that a caregiver be dependable and show up to provide the care that the person needs and is counting on. Trustworthiness. Caregivers are often in a position that will allow them to have access to the belongings of the person they are caring for.

What makes me a caregiver is that I am compassionate, caring and patient and I have empathy. I believe that in order to be a good caregiver you need those characteristics. I became a caregiver because my very first client was someone my mom would clean for. I felt like I was actually doing a difference in her life by being her caregiver. What I love most about being a caregiver is that I get to see how happy I make the client I'm helping and the different I'm doing in their lives.
