I became a caregiver because I like working with the elderly. I learn a lot just by listen to them talking about their lives. My achievement would be owning my own home. I started out taking a class on medical billing. I later went to Concord to get a medical assistant degree. I then took a class on phlebotomy. After all that I decided I wanted to be a nurse.

I am a great caregiver because I was raised around women my grandmothers mostly and I would help them care, cook, clean as a young girl. I became a nurse/caregiver because I helped my grandmother take care of my great grandparents when I was younger. My great grandmother was diagnosed with MS and I helped take care of her as I watched her decline. This is what I enjoy doing most.

I am accustomed to giving medications, scheduling appointments and relaying information confidentially to family members that are concerned. I have been CPR certified and Medical Assistant certified up to this past year when I stopped working to move to Florida. I have a son with respiratory issues, so am familiar with inhaled medications, antibiotics and many medicines in the oncology and family practice field. I am also certified in yoga and have taught yoga for several years specializing in medical conditions like cancer, stiffness, balance and coordination issues.
