I think a good caregiver is a person who can add value to the client, as well as peace of mind to the family. Empathy for the client, in their need for care and respect for the relinquish of medical and personal privacy. Understanding, goes hand in hand with the family when caring for a loved one. I knew at an early age that I wanted to help and care for people. I spent much of my youth volunteering on weekends at the hospital and nursing homes with my siblings we would do activities with the patients or have beauty day with the ladies were we would give Mani/pedis, do make up or cute hair styles.
