I have 18 years of caregiver experience. I have a CNA for about 15 years. I started caring for folks because back in Africa, we care for our family members so it has been something in my nature to care for people. When I care for elderly folks, I treat them as if they were my family members. I've worked with all types of senior patients. Most patients have conditions of stroke, dementia, mentally challenged patients, cancer patient, hospice etc.

I am very reliable in communication and good judgment. In 2007, before my father died for over a year I was the one taking care of him in our home when he became sick. So all this while, he always thanks me and kept reminding me that , I should do the same thing to whoever I come across irrespective of the person status as a human being. So I kept his advice. So in 2011 , when I had an opportunity and came the United States I always remember the advice my dad told me before he died. So that lead me to the caregiver job where any client that I worked for like me so much. My father advice have kept me the the caregiver job that I wanted to continue serve any client that will hire me. The most enjoyable thing that I have is that whenever I do my job as a caregiver on a client either the patient or father member keep saying' I thank you or we thank you for taking care of our family member. That maker me a happy and a better person. My personal achievement is that I was able to make a 94years old male client from South Glastonbury Connecticut to walk again. Having lived with him and his wife for 28 months before he died on 12/1/2023. Six months before I took the job he was sent to a nursing home because he couldn't walk due to illness. But miraculously when I was assigned to him he was able to walk again. Then the wife advise that he should be moved back home. So that's my personal achievement.
