I'm a great caregiver because I'm friendly and outgoing person I have the patience and the ability to take care of others as they were my own. My experience for caring for seniors has expanded for over 20+ years. I am a 46-year-old single women.This has been a passion of mine for many years helping and working with the seniors. I am very patient and I have a lot of compassion for seniors and there needs. Assisting with walking and light exercise. Plan and prepare meals, followed by clean-up. Monitor food expiration dates, make future meals. Make beds and change linens, as needed. Light housekeeping to include dusting and vacuuming. Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming. Laundry and ironing. Take out garbage. Run errands (pickup prescriptions, dry cleaning). Engage in physical and mental exercises. Provide medication reminders. Escort on appointments (hair salon, physical therapy, etc.). Escort to religious services or events. Maintain calendar and organize mail. Engage in activities (games, memory books). Companionship. Being a cargiver can be a bit of a big deal to some people but for me its a way of life. It gives me a great pleasure to know I contribute to the happiness of the elderly daily . I went into the caregiver profession because I have been taking care of my both parents ,(dad 86 and mom 73) and both parents are still living till today and its a thing of joy and pride for me and I just figured I should extend such love to other families. So , for me caregiving is not about the money but the joy of giving love and care to those who really needs it.

I took care of my father who had: Alzheimers for 10 yrs, that experience gave me a good knowlegde and understanding of what the disease is all about and the patience to handle such cases with love and compassion My communications skills, verbal and non-verbal and jovial nature helps make people comfortable and relaxed with me.
