My name is Taisha. I started in this field at 18 years old. Being a chore worker through the state of MI for my mother. Assisting her with her daily living. Which made me want to help others. I worked at Blue water developmental housing. As a caregiver and there is where my skills and knowledge expanded too. I'm a mother of 4 so not only I'm caring Im neutering too. I have been a Certified Occupational therapy assistant for 25 years. I enjoy working with people and helping people gain their strength and independence back. I feel my compassionate and caring personality is helpful when dealing with patients. I am very diverse from having experience with people with a wide range of diseases and diagnoses.

I lost my father at a young age and lost 2 brothers to complications of diabetes in 2014 and lost my mother April 2017 due to renal disease and cardiovascular disease and lost my grandmother July of 2017. I am married to my best friend of 22 yrs we have 4adult children and 2 precious granddaughters.I am very trustworthy and take pride in my work and again i take my work very serious. I have been a certified nurse aide since 1996 to the present.

What makes me a awesome care taker is my love for people. I'm Kind, up beat, very positive, goal oriented, I'm a wonderful companion, I'm wonderful at communicating, highly motivated, and on time. Makes me feel really great after helping someone. I love to see happiness and comfort on everyone's face. I am that push of encouragement when there's none in site. I was always helping my mom and sisters take care of many family members who wasn't able to get into a nursing home. It never felt like they was working. I enjoyed the stories, and helping them family members. The best part about being a care giver is the awesome people you get to meet. Love to see the smile on their faces, and to hear the stories they tell and the things they teach me. There is never a dull moment in this line of work. What I love the most about this work is that it doesn't feel like it. This is what I was born to do. Once worked with a boy whom has autism, sensitive hearing and was none verbal, he always had a pair of head phone to keep the sound out. He really didn't like big crowds and laughing children was quite loud and scary to him. It was hard to get him to even go the the theater in the middle of the day. It took us almost a year but he was able to go with a small crowd and not feel afraid. I was delighted to see he can now enjoy the company of others while doing what he loved. Watching movies on the big screen. I'm very delicate and patience and understanding, always fair, and safety defiantly comes first.

What makes me an awesome caregiver is that I'm willing and ready to learn and advance my knowledge in the health care field,Which is why I went back to school to become a certified nursing assistant. I am very dependable, hard working and a joy to be around. What got me into the health care field was my grandmother. She began to get really sick and wasn't able to take care of herself anymore, so I stepped up and began to help her out. After helping out my grandmother, working in this field began to grow on me so I decided to start going private duty.
