I have a long line of care takers in my family so it's always been my passion to help people live their lives to the fullest. It brings me joy to watch the worry fall off their shoulders the minute I walk through the door. Every one of my clients are treated as if they were my own family. I am most proud of my ability to have patients. I have been pushed to my limit several times but I can always remain calm and talk my way through those crisis. I make friends easily but yet manage to stay professional in my work places. I'm a very relaxed and approachable person, I feel that's very important in my field.

Hi, I have a lot of experience with being a caregiver for the elderly. I have worked with hospice clients and also dementia clients. I have even worked with just assisted living clients helping with basic cares. I am very passionate about being a care taker. I am pursuing a degree in nursing. I have always loved knowing that someone's loved one is being taken care of. To me it's nice to be able to provide that break for the family so they can be family and not the caregiver. I love being able to communicate with family and the client. Also, I love the bond that it all comes with. You truly make a one on one bond with the client and it's nice to get to know not only the client but family as well. I foresee myself being in healthcare for a long time as it's my passion. I have been caring for people my entire life from the age of 10 when my mom became ill I care for my 6 siblings. I have worked as a nursing assistant, Hospice aid, Dialysis tech and the past 7 years as an activities assistant in a nursing home/ rehab. As a child my Great Aunt and Grandma lived with us until they pasted away, most recently I took a leave from work to move in and care for my Dad so he could pass away in his own home. I am a caring, loving, understanding and paient person who enjoys the company of a variety of ages and personallities. I was also a toddler teacher at a headstart program which I truelly enjoyed. I am a single mother of 3 grown children and the Grandmother of 9 . I am very active and enjoy camping, biking and hikes with my sibling, neices, nephews, children and grandchildren. I have a dog named Willie who has been working with me at the nursing home for 4 1/2 years and has been a joy to many of the Residents.

I've always had a soft spot for children and the elderly. I was nine when my brother was born with Cerebral Palsy and as a result became one of his primary caretakers in every aspect. At the same time my grandparents were aging and they needed care as well. I learned a great deal watching my parents tend to their daily needs and the joy and comfort expressed between them was priceless. So when my Dad was diagnosed with cancer and my Mom with Alzheimer's it was natural for me to move home and take care of both of them until they passed. I've also been a nanny and enjoyed that immensely. Over a year ago I received my CNA certification and proceeded to work at a memory care facility in the area, however I realized I was much better at one on one with people so I could really concentrate on their specific needs. After leaving there I have continued to nanny. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to know and care for so many people that have crossed my path so far in this life and desire to help other families as well.

Hello! I will be graduating from Southwest Minnesota State University in May of 2016 with degrees in Biology and Chemistry. After graduation, I will be moving back to the cities and would like to work as a certified nursing assistant. I want to work as a CNA because I find immense joy in helping other people.
