My care and concern for people, especially those that need help is a great passion of mine. I understand and empathize with both clients and families in the aging process and healthcare management. I enjoy not only taking care of others but also sharing great memories and stories of others lives.

1. Honestly, I became a caregiver not realizing the extent of care that was needed in the field. I observed my mother providing care for my father before he passed, and it was hard for me to see him passing away. Since I have become a caregiver, I understand the quality of care that is needed in order to help rehabilitate those who are dependent upon someone they can trust. 2. In this field,I have learned a lot about myself as a person. I never expected to become educated on the subject of self. I have learned that you should not take life for granted, disabled does not mean that a person is not human and that they want to be treated special because of their disability, how the small things in life mean so much to a person when they are unable to provide for themselves such as: a warm hello, brushing their hair, putting fresh flowers in a vase on the dresser or kitchen table. 3. A personal achievement that makes me proud is that, over the years, I can greet most family members that I have provided care for, and they smile and welcome me with memories of how I touched their lives as a caregiver for their loved ones, or those that I have provided care for to rehabilitate them during their short recovery. 4. What is calming to the mind as a caregiver is, going home that day knowing that you have made a difference in someone else's life. I became a caregiver because I enjoy helping others. My favorite thing about caregiving is spending time with clients and getting to know them as well as their family members. My biggest achievement regarding caregiving would be obtaining my CNA license at the age of 16.

I am a great caregiver because I genuinely love taking care of residents. They just have so much wisdom and positive things to share with us. I love it because it makes them feel good. It makes them feel like everything's is going to be okay. I became a caregiver after working for Chick Fil A for 4 years. This elderly lady kept coming in every few months and would order a sandwich and a milkshake. The last day she came in she celebrated her 100th birthday. I new at that moment I wanted to be around that. I want to be able to share those moment. I enjoy taking care of residents and just talking and laughing with them. I achieved CPR and Medication Aide. I achieved patience and genuine attitude.

I am a very caring and compassionate person. I am a mother of a very active 13 year old boy whom attends a Christian Academy and is very active in sports. I love the elderly, my grandmother raised me and then she got sick with cancer. That is what drove me to healthcare. I love hearing old stories from my elders and just feeling like I am making a difference in there day and giving them quality of life.
