I have been in the nursing and healthcare field since 1985. I am CPR certified, and am also an EMT.

My name is Lelia but everyone calls me Lea. I'm a NCCDP Certified Dementia Practitioner and licensed NAI/CNA here in North Carolina. I am able to assist you by way of caring for your loved one when needed. In addition, my additional background as an Alzheimer's Association Community Educator adds to the whole person care approach. My schedule varies and may not currently correspond with your needs however I am flexible but if you are in need of time away to run errands, a date night or a maybe just a break I will be there. I know how challenging but yet still rewarding it is to be caregiver. I cared for my mother who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2021. My experience has covered the entire spectrum of dementia from the initial diagnosis to the transition. It has become my mission to steadily be engaged in the learning process while sharing results. I truly understand the need of balance and I have the personal skill set to assist. I'm a very loving and compassionate person, I love helping people, I helped take care of my grandmother when she had alhezmeler and I helped my uncle with errands and things he needed when recovering from open heart surgery and I've also helped a client that had a stroke at night to get in and out of bed and cooked for them and took them to appointments I love the fact that I can help someone with making their life a little easier and that I can bring some sunshine to their day

My greatest joy in life is being a caregiver! I love being able to help clients with daily task as well as showing them lots of compassion and companionship. I have been a certified caregiver for 2 years. I also have my Basic Life Support/CPR certification as well as my phlebotomy certification!
