Hello my name is Amy Harrison. I am an RBT and currently reside in Salisbury, NC. I am currently working towards my PhD in Education. I just finished my nurse aide class at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College with an A average. I received my Masters of Education degree in 2021 with a specialization in early childhood education. Since 2014 I have held numerous roles working with children and the elderly. These roles have ranged from after school counselor/site director, lead teacher, behavior technician, online ESL teacher, Direct Support Professional, Home Health Aide, Temporary Nurse Aide, Care Pro, Care Manager, Care Associate and Nurse Aide. I am looking forward to being a part of the team.

I am a 33 year old mother of five wonderful children and I'm a wife as well. I have been a caregiver for 14 years. Having patience and compassion help me be a great caregiver. This is a job that requires a lot of tolerance for challenging situations, and good communication and a positive attitude also go a long way. I enjoy working with people it brightens up my day. Knowing I'm able to help others melts my heart.

I became a CNA because i like the fact that i can help people who are unable to help themselves. What I like most about being a CNA is knowing that i am doing my job for a good cause and helping someone who may not be capable of fully helping themself. To make another indivdual happy makes me happy, and To feel like I gave my best to care for a person who needs help brings me great pride.A personal achievement that i am proud of is getting through the steps of becoming a CNA, the desire i have to help others is so strong i just knew that if i had my mind set on achiving the goal in helping people that i was going to do it, and after achieving that goal I was filled with joy and accomplishment. I find myself to be a very outgoing person , i find that helping people is what brings me the most joy. my weakness are the fact that i put people before myself because i feel what builds my strength most is being able to know that what i do is for a good cause and that I gave someone my all as I would want one to give To any family member, Friend or even myself. Aside from being a CNA i am a good friend, sister, daughter, and mom. I am a big family person and i enjoy time and vacations spent with family. I am a person who is both devoted to my work and to family.
