I am a 28 yr old caregiver/medication technician I have been in this field for 7yrs. When I was little I loved making sure my grandmother and great grandmother was okay and I always helped them around the house. I wanted to continue doing that when I grew up but also help other people as well. I love being able to help somebody achieve a goal or an activity. It makes my job worth it.

I chose to become a caregiver because I started helping my grandmother and grandfather at a young age. Then when my grandparents passed away I realize that this type of work was something I have a passion for that I want to continue to do throughout my life . My goal is to help others and see the positive outcomes, in their life.

I am married with 3 kids; 26,23,14. I am dependable, on time, & caring. I first got my interest in taking care of people when I helped look after my dad when he was dying with cancer. I am proud of my self for completing & getter my CNA at 49 years old. I'm very involved in my church and I love people.

Caring for seniors and enriching their lives brings great joy to my heart. With an educational background in physical therapy and years of direct experience with seniors, I understand the key to aging gracefully. It’s not rocket science, just basic common sense. Over many years, I have developed an innovative program for promoting graceful aging, independence, and dignity for seniors. The focus is a holistic whole person approach for facilitating physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Along with providing a comprehensive wellness program, patient care advocacy, and other specialized services, I believe in making life fun with a wide variety of meaningful programs and events. George Bernard Shaw once wrote, "We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing." Many programs and special events I organized for retirement communities have appeared in the News and Observer, Herald Sun, Apex Herald, and other newspapers. Two were covered by WTVD ABC news 11.

Hello name is Michele Sims it's nice to meet you. My attraction to being a caregiver stems from a deep desire to help others and make a positive impact on their lives. Growing up, I witnessed the challenges faced by family members who required assistance, and I felt compelled to support them. This experience ignited a passion for caregiving, as I realized the profound difference that compassionate care can make in someone's life. The opportunity to provide comfort and support to those in need is incredibly fulfilling and motivates me to continue in this field. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the meaningful relationships I build with my patients. Each day presents an opportunity to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and learn from their experiences. The gratitude expressed by those I care for is immensely rewarding, and it reinforces my commitment to providing the best care possible. Additionally, witnessing the progress and improvements in my patients' well-being brings me immense joy and satisfaction.

I am very patient with my clients. Some clients with dementia requires repetition of instructions constantly and I believe that I have the patience and understanding to explain instructions and assist patients in situations like this. Because, I love to teach and help others. I also put myself in my client position, if a member of my family is in this situation, I would want to have someone who is companionate and understanding to their needs.

First of all, I always go into a home knowing that I will be making a wonderful friend. I love the elderly; I love their different personalities and all their "Life" stories. It gives my heart great joy to be able to make them smile. It is the most rewarding thing I have ever done.

I was working in a nursing home and I felt some people feel better with one on one care,and being home They can get that. I love be able to help with everyday needs,and learning more about elders life. Two years ago I took over my family business and started taking care of more people. I have been doing private nursing for 25 years,and really enjoy it,I cant see me doing anything else.
