I love the field I feel great at the end of the day when I do and care for someone. I dicided ended that this is what I wanted to do. Making people happy and comfortable. I'm a mother of two girls born and raised in Lawrence my parents are originally from the domincan republic they came to the state in the 60s. I've been a certified nurses aide for 15 years. *My personality traits is I am very happy in what I do for a living so I am constantly smiling, great nurturing, I am very firm, loving, caring, absorbing, very diligent, and Self Sufficient. * One thing that attracted me to being a caregiver is I was a PCA to a young boy who had pass away. He inspired me to want to better my life and I found my passion. *The thing that I enjoy about being a caregiver is being able to make the family feel comfortable about leaving their love ones alone with me. Keeping the family at ease mentally. Also making the client feel like they are love and cared for at all times. *My personal achievement is getting my GED, CNA licences and being in college to become a nurse.

I decided to become a caregiver because I wanted to help those who cannot fully help themselves. I like seeing the progress and growth of my patients when giving care on a day to day basis . A personal achievement of mine is when I graduated from the Community Action's CNA/HHA course because I put fourth a lot of effort into this course. An achievement I am proud of is in the studying and learning or becoming a caregiver my grandmother had stage 4 cancer, she wanted to stay in her home and I was able to provide the care she needed and whenever she needed it. She lived a year longer than they had predicted and that's what I wanted. She was happy and was able to attend and see a lot more than she had expected herself. 4. I'm a dedicated, hardworking, and love to over achieve what I do. I'm a single mother of a beautiful 2 year old girl, she changed my life for the better. I'm blessed to have a healthy daughter and I enjoy watching and helping her grow to be a young lady soon enough. She's helped me realize and push myself to become who I am today and see what means the most in life and still I strive to be the best I can be for her and everyone around me.

I wanted to help Seniors, I know it is very hard for family to see there love ones going thrue a very difficult time,i wanted to do something because i know is the way i will like to be treated when i get older or any of my family,it is very inportant to me to make a Senior feal they are still love an respected. I have been taking care of people for over 20 years .I have CNA MAP CPR /First Aide, I have also done lot of courses and training regarding my work included is Alzheimer's, people with learning disabilities fall prevention and many more. Ever since freshman year in high school, I have always wanted to do something that related to the medical field. First it was orthopedics and then pharmacy. I did not know that my mind would change to care giver until my junior year. I took a health science technology class starting my junior year. It was a two year class. Junior year was more focused on anatomy and physiology and Senior year we got to decide which path we wanted to go down. I chose the LNA path. I have always wanted to help people and going towards this path seemed like a sure-fire way to get there. I loved doing my clinicals at the two nursing homes near my school. It was an amazing experience. Knowing that I can help someone get through their day a little easier meant the world to me. Almost six years after graduating high school, I am still doing what I love and taking care of the people that need it the most.
