Hello, I consider myself a warm, compassionate person with a gift of patience. I empathize with many because I know what it feels like to need someone one to lend a hand and how difficult it may be to ask for that help when needed. At age 15, I cared for my dying mother and father, and decided to dedicate my life to be of service to others who could no longer care for themselves. I can honestly say that care giving brings out the best in me. When I see a need, whether it be physical, mental or spiritual one, I am challenged to work with the families to help fulfill that need. Everyone deserves that kind of experience in life and I believe everyone needs somebody. As the son of a pastor and a social worker, I have learned to serve and appreciate the humanistic side of individuals. Having worked in a memory care unit for over a year, I have greatly enjoyed the gratitude expressed by residents struggling with physical and cognitive ailments. The relationships I build with the people I care for are irreplaceable and meaningful for both me and the other. I plan to use my abilities and my knowledge to pursue becoming a Physician Assistant. A personal achievement I am proud of is that I graduated with a degree in Biochemistry in three years during the COVID pandemic.

I enjoy being a caregiver because I love caring for those who need it most. I am able to show empathy and I am very personable. I care for those I am caring for as if they were my own parents or grandparents. The one thing that I am most proud of as a caregiver was being there next to one of my clients passed away - I never left her side and kept reassuring her she was not alone.

I am a great care giver because I anticipate the needs of everyone before a word even has to be said. I think ahead to make my life and other peoples' lives easier and more efficient. I currently work as an activities specialist for an independant living facility in the area. I love planning activities and having fun with my group!
