I became a caregiver at a young age by request but as I got older it was done by choice. Caring for the elderly gives me satisfaction knowing that I can help people in a personal way. I love making people laugh. It's my way of adding sunshine to their lives. Several seniors I have cared for were not excited at all about having someone to come in to sit and to care for them but it took a short while for them to look forward to my arrival and they hated to see me leave. I have cared for people of all age groups. I have worked exclusively for the elderly the past few years. I have been a great companion to them all! I'm very caring, I work long hours if needed and I'm willing to do just about whatever it takes for those in my care to have a very meaningful experience! I do med reminders, incontinence care, meal preparations, and to stay busy, I will clean! I love what I do and have always done more than what was asked. My main objective with care is to help the family members of those in my care feel they can live their lives without worrying about their loved one in my care. They can feel confident that their loved one is in good hands! Those I have experience with had Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and I have cared for a quadriplegic! I'm a nursing student just wanting to help others in everyday needs. With my school schedule working at the hospitals was becoming harder. I need to be able to work around my school schedule. I love being able to help others in all ways I can even if that is just being there to listen or talk to. I am a mother of 3 daughters and just want to show them they can be and so what they put there hearts to.

I'm an easy going person. Takes to new things easily. I'm a mother to two special needs boys. I love being around others and helping anyone I can. Hello all :) My name is Sado Abdi. I will be turning 18 in 3 weeks here (June 2nd) for everyone worried about legal age. I currently live in Hilliard., OH but I'm originally born and raised in Atlanta, Gorgiea. I will be attending The Ohio State University fall of 2019, with a major in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Business. My personality traits are openness, fearless, trusting, humorous, easy-going, observant, optimistic, helpful, and the list could go on! I am very Passionate caring person, ever since I was little girl. Instead of playing with neighborhood kids I would help my elderly neighbors. I loved sitting on their porch just talking for hours. They use to tell me & my mom that I had an old soul. My mom also was a caregiver then she got degrees in other medical fields, you could say I got and learned from her. I first got into home health care because of My father in law. I was 21 years old. He had MS, & his family denied caring for him. I noticed how bad he was getting so I started caring for him immediately. The care he needed acquired more time so me and my 3 babies (at the time) moved in and I cared for him around the clock. He had some pretty bad wounds that tunneled down to the bone on multiple parts of his body. Which is why I got certified at the osu wound clinic. Everyone around me and even the nurses that came over told me i had a special calling for this job. It was what I was meant to do! It takes a special person to really love & care for others. There are so many reasons why I love being a caregiver. It's more than the satisfaction that I am helping others. It's that they also teach me about life and what we take for granted. Without them saying a word. I feel so refreshed after a shift it doesn't feel like "just a job" to me. With Each & every client I get it seems like there is a story and I feel like I am apart of their story by getting to help them. I truly love what I do!
