The knowledge of CNA and CMA, Over 10 years and the experience ,makes me a great caregiver. My great personalities are am honest, respectful and empathetic. My job and my personality has always been helping people and particularly old and disabled and helpless. I've worked as a Care Giver for more than 15 years. I have an extensive amount of experience, and I am honest and committed to my work. My mother was why I'm so motivated to work as a care giver. I loved my mom, and as she grew older, I've helped and assisted her continuously, and I recognized the skill and effort that is needed for care giving. After that, I took classes and started a job with DHS. My employers are always happy with my work, and I'm always there to help, and I'll be there when I'm needed.

I love helping people, I'm a very laid back chill person to be around. I feel that adds comfortablility and calmness. I choose caregiving to be able to help people and not be taken advantage of but rather have people be thankful and grateful for the help I have to offer. I enjoy being able to give the care people deserve and knowing the job is done right and people are not being mistreated. I'm proud to have been able to work with kids, young adults, adults all the way to hospice care. Its a blessing to be able to care for people and build companionship and trust.

My name is nicole , I have almost 3 years or caregiving and medtech experience . I'm currently starting the process to become and lpn and hopefully work as a nurse in a longterm care facility . I enjoy caregiving because it gives me so much joy helping others and making sure they can be safe and comfortable wherever they are living.

1. I decided to become a caregiver after retiring from a corporate job of 25 years and my children had grown up and moved on. I realized I wasn't ready to "retire". The idea of becoming a caregiver sounded like something that would be an outlet for my "nurturing" nature. 2. Caregiving gives me great satisfaction and a feeling of peace and contentment as the things I do to help others means a lot to them. I love that I help people be in control of their lives while ensuring their safety, health and comfort. My personal feeling of well being increases when I am helping others. 3. Something I'm proud of is working with a lady who'd had right hip and left knee replacement surgery. She was fearful of standing, was not doing exercises and was dependent on her husband. I helped her to follow Physical Therapy prescribed exercises to increase her strength, confidence, mobility and independence. After 7 months, she could walk with confidence using a cane and do activities of daily living. She was even able to return to sleeping in her own bed which required climbing 12 stairs. 4. About me: I am a lady who is energetic, healthy, physically fit, very personable and I have a fun sense of humor. I am also dependable and trustworthy. I have two grown kids. I have a lot of compassion and empathy for people I am caring for. I am a great cook and homemaker. I have lived in the Portland area all my life and love it here. I also have a very reliable car!

I would like to provide companionship for someone that needs assistance. I am available for transportation to an appointment, cleaning, organizing, laundry, shopping and short day trips to enjoy the flowers. My experience has been caring for my father for several years, he had Parkinson's Disease with progressive dementia. He was a Veteran and received fabulous care through VA facilities. My sister and I provided his transportation to appointments to VA clinics and the hospital on the hill. Currently, I am a caregiver/companion for a sweet lady with dementia. She lives at home with her husband, I stay with her so he can take some time away to go fishing or take care of personal business. I live in Scappoose with my husband of 47 years, we have two children and four grandchildren that are fabulous!

I started volunteering at my local senior center as a teenager, and from then I knew I wanted a career with elders. I was given an opportunity to caregive 3 years ago, and I quickly worked up the latter to running a house. I have found myself gaining trust of my residents easily and maintaining a personal yet professional relationship with them. Recently I completed NA training and am awaiting my State Board testing for my CNA license.

I currently work as Certified Medical Assistant, but i do have about 4 years of experience of caregiving. I worked part time as a caregiver when i was in college, and couple years after graduating. Why caregiving you ask, i love helping others, am patients, friendly and happy person, and i think this are all traits i would want in a person taking care of my family. Someone that respects the elderly and have appreciation of their knowledge and personality.
