I would like to take the opportunity of introducing myself I'm Luciana de Andrade looking for a job as a caregiver. I am a Nurse Assistant graduate from HACC Community College. I believe that my Nurse Aide certification, coupled with my up to date First Aide/CPR and Microsoft Office computer training, and my strong background in customer service, make me an excellent candidate for this job. My experience includes helping patients with their personal needs such as using the bathroom, bathing, getting dressed and eating. I also have experience changing beds, cleaning up after patients and helping to keep the facility or house clean and sanitized. I think I feel a special compassion for elderly patients because I was very close to my mother and grandmother and I cared for them for many years. I watched my loved ones overcome poverty, abuse, disease, and alcoholism. The odds seemed against us but we never wavered from our determination to make our lives better and to encourage each other to move forward. Each obstacle my family faced, I learned that determination and compassion are key. It helped me to set goals and work toward them. I drew my inspiration from watching what the human spirit can overcome when necessary and knowing that everyone is capable of doing so. I watched my great-grandmother fight her battle with dementia and Alzheimer's, which helped to develop my passion of one day becoming an occupational therapist. I learned compassion from living with and working with those who are greatly affected by physical, mental and emotional limitations. In learning throughout my life, it feels that care giving in some type, has called me. I want to be able to positively impact the people and families I work with, just like others did for me.

I started caregiving when my father was diagnosed with cancer. He had also had dementia so I have a lot of experience with dealing with Alzheimer's dementia I'm very loving, caring, very responsible and I care about my clients. I always try to do my best to make sure that they are comfortable. And they have everything that they need.
