My name is Shantell. I am a proud mother of three wonderful adult children and blessed with three amazing grandchildren. I have been working in health care since a young age, starting off being a health care aide for my blind grandmother at the tender age of 8 years old. From there on I found my passion in life. During my years as working as a personal care aide, I had the opportunity to take care of my parents during their last days. In doing so, I was able to gain a personal insight on the importance of having the right person taking care of your loved ones, which gave me an even greater passion for the work I do. I realized the importance of giving each and every person who I take care of the same love and care as I gave my loved ones while taking care of them. As well as the respect and honor to have the opportunity to be a part of their life.

I love caring for people and seeing smiles on my patients faces,making them feel good about themselves and just giving back what good that has come my way.I also became a CNA to take care of my parent's when they grow old I'm a loving, caring, and very passionate person. I love being a caregiver/CNA. I've been a CNA for over 25 years. It gives me alot of pleasure taking care of the elderly. I'm a very caring & compassionate person. The reason why I started becoming a caregiver was because my brother just got diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I used to take care of him before he went into the nursing home. I'm very hard working & enjoy listening to my clients history, for example where they are from & what they used to do for a living. I would treat your loved one like I would my own with up most respect. I really enjoy getting to know my clients & I feel like they are part of my family. If I can make them smile & laugh then I know I'm doing my job because some of my clients don't have much family or friends & they get very lonely & depressed. My personal achievement is taking care of sick & elderly patients.
