Hello. I have 24 years of experience as a CNA/ caregiver. I have worked skilled care, palliative, ambulatory, home health, and assisted living. I strive to make my clients quality of life the best possible. They am certified in First Aid and CPR. I am also in school to become an Rn, Bsn.

I have always had great compassion for those who are sick, the elderly, and disabled. I began my caregiving by volunteering for Hospice for seven years. CNAs happily taught me how to do bed baths, empty urinals, and even how to change bed linens with patient still in bed. I am comfortable, and have experience in just about all facets of caregiving, which includes personal hygiene, including bathing, feeding, safely transferring patient from bed to chair, etc. I am comfortable using a Hoyer lift, and have changed and sanitized urine bags. Upon moving to a new city I began doing home caregiving as a way of paying my bills, and family recommendations kept me busy. I have enjoyed caring for the ELDERY with all kinds of medical problems, and DISABLED people, as well. In addition to passing the background check required for this site, I have a LEVEL II BACKGROUND CHECK which is far deeper than this site requires. I have taken and passed the HHA test, although I did not take the class. I am CPR certified, have had a two step TB test, I presently work for a local caregiving agency, but they are unable to provide me with enough hours, so I am eager to get full time hours! I have many references I can give if you are interested in knowing more. I prefer days, but I am open for any schedule.

Hello, I'm Elizabeth McKittrick. I'm married with 2 children. I enjoy doing home care because I feel it is a more personal relationship with someone. I love taking care of people. I'm experienced in many different settings with a variety of patients. I'm experienced in taking care of special needs clients, Alzheimer and Dementia patients, as well as patients with Parkinson's patients. Most recently, I have worked with patients with mental health challenges. I am easy to get along with, I adapt easily to each patient and meeting their needs while respecting their home. I am CPR certified and have had license and training as a CNA. I did let my license expire as I was a stay at home mom to my children. I have been a full time caregiver for my mother in law for the past 11 years (she has dementia/Alzheimer's). In addition to my MIL, I have also helped care for both of my grandmothers who were in their 90s. Currently, I have an elderly companion that I play cards with and take grocery shopping. I love working with the elderly and hearing about their times growing up. My family has always been able to care for their elderly generations at home instead of a nursing facility. I enjoy helping other working families do the same. Whether it's staying overnight, drop ins to have a friend, take them to doctors visits, grocery shopping, or wherever they would like to go for a few hours. I do have to limit my services to around 7-10 miles from my home (Pelzer/Woodmont area) at the current time due to my current commitments.

I have been in medical field all my life. It's a calling for me. I take great pride and joy in helping others. I've worked in the field as EMT and as a PCT in a hospital setting. I've also worked in home health for many years private care. I took care paraplegic veterans. As well as special needs children.

What makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I treat the person that I am caring for like a member of my family, with love,kindness and compassion. I have years of experience taking care of people whether they are young or old and I have always helped people especially older people. I really enjoy making a difference in someone's life and making their day a little bit better and that is where my joy comes in.
