I have been a caregiver for 14 years . I have 10 years Alzheimer's and Dementia experience . I have worked in Memory Care, Assisted Living, Hospice Care and Skilled Nursing Units . What sparked my interest in becoming a Caregiver was Helping Others . I always put others before myself . I have a Special Needs daughter who I have learned patience through . Growing up being the oldest of 6 siblings I had to be the caregiver due to my mother working long hours as a nurse. In my adult life I've had many jobs but no fulfillment until I started caring for others. I found my purpose and calling. I truly enjoy/ love being a caregiver it brings so much joy and self gratification. My mother played a big part of why I love being a caregiver. seeing the love, she gave, and the return love played a big roll. It feels good to know that I have gained a client trust as well as the assurance that I will take care of them. To see them smile or just help them through a rough day knowing that they can count on me is a great reward. I've had a client I had just started with ask me, is this just a job or do you care? I care about what I do. This is one of the biggest questions that a client or family member has when looking for a caregiver. Staying positive, going beyond the call of duty, compassionate, caring, outgoing, patience, etc. To have the opportunity to care for your loved one or self would be a privilege and a blessing.

I'm energetic, healthy, fit, happy, and compassionate. I'm full of love for the Lord, for my husband, my two beautiful teenagers, my two dogs, and my cat. I enjoy teaching yoga and fitness classes, gardening, cooking, and snow skiing! I am the happiest when I serve my family and friends. This is what I was meant to do - to help and lift others up to become a better version of themselves. I am true believer that no matter what your circumstances are in the present moment, there's always hope for a better tomorrow.

I am a loving and Compassionate person. I started taking of my grand mother at the age 15yrs old and she is 92, so that is what motivated me to be a caregiver and pursue the career. I enjoy it because it is a work that require human conscience and it remind me that' one day I will be old. It is call to serve God through humanity it is not just a profession. You need patience and tolerance to accommodate the elderly. The quality of care I will give determination how long their lifespan will live especially for the hospice patients ,and for the dementia and Alzheimer's patient, it require a lot of strategy and knowledge of the stage and how to handle them. For bed bound or disable they need total care service.
