Hello my name is Shantel and what makes me a good caregiver is my personality I love helping people who needs assistance with everyday task. I love putting a smile on my client face and keeping them motivated to enjoy there life the best way they can with assistance. Why I became a caregiver is because it was in my heart to do and because it takes patience and understanding in an individual who once did many things in there life before reaching this chapter in there life. What I like about being a caregiver is getting to know about a client life story. I love hearing there many stories because as there caregiver it let's me know who they were before they entered into this chapter of there life. A personal achievement I'm proud of is me becoming more wiser and more confident in life knowing that no one is perfect but, you can learn from your mistakes and continue to grow and mature no matter how old you are. I have been in the healthcare field over nine years. I am currently going to school now for my CNA... I lobes being a Caregiver. It's where my heart and passion at. I promise my mother before she past away. That this is what I wants to do with my life. And I won't stop until I become a RN. I treats my patients as my own. And never a blunt moment with them.

Hello, First I'd like to share a few things about my experiences as a CNA/caregiver. I have always been a nurturing person first as a child and continuing through adulthood, It brings me great pleasure to help everyone I can. I started my career in 1993 by attending a State licensed class and being state certified to work as such. I have continued my education for 28 years now and I am told I bring great skill set to many homes and individuals. I have worked as a CNA in Hospitals, Home Health, Physical Rehabilitation Centers, Nursing Homes and Private Duty Requests. I enjoy them all. I've worked with Hospice,Alzheimer's, dementia, diabetes, strokes, obesity, bed bound clients such a paraplegic and quadriplegic, ALS clients, PTSD clients, schizophrenia clients, post surgical and more. I offer help with ADLs, showers, bed baths, exercise, meal preparation, vital sign checks, medication reminders, doctor appointments, and more.

I Enjoy helping people a whole lot, it gives me comfort knowing that I'm putting a smile on a person face or even making them feel better. It gives me hope knowing that i can make a difference in a person life. I started off in High school being in Health professions classes' and learning different things about health and how precious every ones life are. Helping is what my heart desire's to do, I'm a soft and heart warmth person who enjoy organizing and overall love doing daily tasks.

Ive been a caregiver for about 15yrs. I love what i do. I have worked for mentally ill adults, senior citizens as well as Alzheimer dementia clients. I have experience with spinal injuries and ms clients. I have worked with colostomy bags urinals, hoya lifts medicine etc. Im also always willing to learn. Im kind soft hearted loving caring. Great listener hard worker. I am very reliable and always on time. I have references and a resume if needed.

I believe in taking proper care of the elderly since my grandmother took the time to raise me this is my way of returning the favor. I've been her right hand woman for many years and my responsibilities evolved from home assistance to recreational activity companion after I got my DL. After my time in the military I decided that I wanted to dedicate myself to helping others get the most out of life and I hope I can help you as well.
