I would like to believe that I would be a perfect fit for anyone but thats not true. What I can say about myself is that I am dedicated, I am a hard worker, and I am a fast learner. I have been in healthcare some way, shape, or form since I was 15. I started off in a nursing home in the kitchen, went to work at a group home for developmentally challenged individuals, then I moved to a memory care unit while I resided in Florida, and now I work in emergency services as a dispatcher. I have been certified to pass meds and I am CPR certified. I hope to hear from you and to help you or your loved ones.

I am an easygoing person, compassionate, humble and hardworking. I enjoy interacting with elderly people and to let them feel love and be happy despite their illness. I am always interesting in assisting people in whatever way I can, therefore doing so means so much to me because helping and caring for someone is very important to everyday life especially for someone who can't help themselves 100% any more. I my is Vernita, I am a Certified Nursing Assistant with over 20+years as a experience caregiver. My personality traits are my attentiveness, patience, empathy, compassion, dependability, reliable, trustworthiness ,and flexibility. After watching my mom, take care of my grandmother in our home. I knew then I wanted to be more hands-on with patients, while still in in high school, I took on a receptionist job for a local hospital, and little jobs as needed around the hospital, Being surrounded on a daily basis by this kind of environment is what made me want to become a caregiver. Been a caregiver, I find satisfaction in supporting other people. I have learned so much about compassion, the meaning of selfless giving and witnessed the amazing miracles that come from our body's will to survive, that's incredible!! My personal accomplishment /achievement is providing care for another person is uncharted territory. Most people are unprepared for this role. There are no courses on how to be a good caregiver. There is no textbook on what to expect. Somehow, u figured it out.

I became a caregiver because I enjoy providing services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people, so I know I am doing the right thing. I enjoy meeting and learning new people, because everyone is different in their own way. My achievements are to seeing a smile on a clients face. I am a 47 year old single mom of a 17 year old daughter. I've work MHMR and I work with Down syndrome patients for the 15 years, and direct care with private patients in their home for 3 years. I also now help my brother with our father that is 86 with diabetes, high blood pressure, Alzheimer's and dementia. I love being a care provider.??
