***I worked for 5 years as a Police Officer for the Ogden City, Utah P.D. I graduated from the Utah Police Academy. The Police Academy provided weeks of intensive First Aid & Trauma Response Training. I served 3 years in Patrol as a First Responder for all types of Medical Emergencies, Serious Automobile Accidents, Overdoses & All Criminal Activity. ***I received several commendations while in Patrol and was promoted to Detective after the first 3 years. I was assigned to the Crimes Against Children Division where I conducted dozens of complex investigations involving Child Abuse, Neglect and Crimes of Child Sexual Abuse. ***I also attended & graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor's Degree Political Science and Social Sciences. ***I was the founding partner of Thurgood Development Company. We Developed & Built 8 major Senior Residential Projects in N. Utah from 1986-2017. I understand & appreciate the needs of seniors especially as it comes to living independently & as safely as possible. I know from direct experience that Seniors & the Disabled very much want to maintain their independence. ***I volunteered and trained 2 days per week for 7 years at Manor Care Nursing Home in S. Ogden, Utah. ***I retired from construction in 2017 but soon found myself wanting the work with Seniors again. I went to work for a Leading In-Home Senior Care firm in SLC. I underwent significant additional training and have several Utah State mandated Certifications in First Aid, Elder Care etc. ***After 4 months with the Leading In-Home Senior Care firm I was chosen as their CARE-GIVER OF THE YEAR. I am assigned as Exclusive Care Giver for 3 of their VIP's, whose names are household words in all of Utah. ***I have many references from persons who I have cared for and dozens from Seniors that I have built homes for over the past many years. I am 6'3"- 220 lbs and well trained in personal protection. My clients are safe when I am there with them.

I have always loved caring for people from infancy to older age. I have tons of experience with kids, and some experience with seniors. I became inspired to begin caregiving to senior when my grandmother fell sick and I helped care for her for years. She recently passed away and I found a lot of joy and fulfillment being able to help her. I love being able to form relationships with the people I am providing care for and be their as their friend as well. I am very sociable and a great listener and also have lots of experience with special need and have developed a great sense of patience and appreciation because of it.

I have been a cargiver for 2 almost 3 years now and love the job. I enjoy assisting people with personal care jobs. Keeping good company. Cooking, cleaning, running errands. Changing briefs, assisting showering and getting ready for the day. Transportation for activities and taking out to run errands. I started working with kids with disabilities during a summer camp in 2016 and fell in love with assisting and helping kids and adults. Then i moved to other companies and loved the job still. I have provided care in homes and hospitals for a diversity of patients with Alzheimers, Parkinsons, dementia, and hospice needs. I am first aid and CPR certified, a CNA, and have started taking classes to become a nurse. I have had a variety of medical experience such as working in the University of Utah burn unit which required high medical standards. I have been told I am naturally compassionate and competent, especially when working with the elderly and disabled. I value honesty, hard work, and live a clean life style. I am also happy to help with light cleaning, meal prep., pets, and organizing/laundry. I am a mother of two beautiful girls. One who is going to the U of U for a bachelor's in psychology, and another who is a full time mom. I have a beautiful granddaughter that is almost two. I am a family oriented person who loves to do outdoor activities of any kind. I have a passion for caregiving and always have.
