I have been in the healthcare field for 10+ years and also have nursing home experience. I have always wanted to help others. I enjoy the relationships that I have built with my clients over the years. I love what I do so much that I want start a home health care business myself eventually.

I have great communication skills and am loving, kind, caring, compassionate and most of all patient. I can do whatever it takes to make your loved one comfortable which includes lite cooking, cleaning, running errands, medication reminders, bathing /dressing, companionship and feeding if necessary. When a loved one went into rehab after being in the hospital and finding that the level of care he received while in the nursing home was awful I swore I would help those who needed genuinely good care. I was able to witness those who were not treated fairly and could not speak up for themselves in these homes and family members who were caught between a rock and a hard spot not being able to be there or care for their loved one in their home, my heart went out to them. I love helping people and putting a smile on someone's face. My cases have involved dealing with dementia patients, patients with mobility issues, bed ridden, hospice care and just someone who needs a friend to listen and someone who really cares about them. I am proud to say that those families that I have cared for have been very happy with my services That puts a smile on my face and says I've done a job well done.

Hello! My name is Talaiyah and I have been a CNA/caregiver going on three years. I really enjoy what I do because I get to meet and care for people from all walks of life and having the ability to make a difference in someone's life no matter how small the task.

I am a very passionate person that takes care giving very seriously. When I care for my patients I look at them as if they were my mom, dad, grandmother, or grandfather and sometimes sister or brother depending on the case. I also just retired from the military and the job I had serving gave an even better perspective on how much people care about their love ones , it also gave me the maximum training of discipline and sense to protect. I'm the perfect caregiver because I simply love what I do. I'm very reliable and passionate to help others. I have patience when caring for people and always put their needs first. What attracted me to caregiving was when I first started caring for my grandmother at the age of 12. I enjoyed helping her get dressed and preparing meals for us to eat together. After high school, I went to trade school and became a nurses aid in which I've been doing the past 10 years. Now currently I'm in nursing school while still providing quality care to the ones in need.

Being caring and compassionate makes me a great caregiver. I love to motivate, help, and just simply be a support to people in a caring but still professional manner. I have desired to be a caregiver since the age of 4 years old. As the years passed by and I entered Junior High School, I applied to a Certified Nurses Assistant course at the age of 15, and got accepted into the program. I graduated from the program with my CNA certification, and I've been working as an Aid ever since. I attended Radford University, where I completed most of my prerequisite classes, but then transferred to J Sergeant Reynolds where I will get my BSN, and become a Registered Nurse. I enjoy meeting different people, and helping out to the fullest of my potential to make activities of daily living go by a little smoother for the physically, or mentally impaired.

First I will answer why I became a caregiver. I was working in housekeeping and heard that the class was being offered to become a CNA. I had already realized that I enjoyed saying good morning and chatting with patients and thought this would give me an even greater opportunity to spend quality time with them. I signed up for the training and was successful in completing the course and passing my state license. After I began working, I was thrilled to see the difference a CNA made in the lives of the patients. I got to know their families and the fact that they trusted me to care for their family member made my job serious and important. I love chatting with patients. The stories they tell are so interesting. Many patients are older and have very interesting stories. I like being a CNA and caregiver. The care and compassion I being to my workplace makes a difference in the day of my patients.

I've always loved helping people in need and just bringing joy to people. Trying to make it easier to do everyday things to those who can't do it by themselves anymore. I mostly enjoy the positive impact I can have by helping those in need. I feel mostly accomplished when my clients can open and feel like they can talk to me and let me know what's going on and seeing if I can help them.

After loosing my mom 2 years ago I knew in my heart this was what I wanted to do. I love the feeling of helping others. I'm honest, trustworthy, respectful, accountable, reliable and very caring. I'm currently working in a home care agency.
