My name is Grace, I am 26 years old. I am a very self-motivated and determined person. I have a huge heart for everyone and genuinely love helping anyone who needs it. I started as a direct support professional for adults with developmental disabilities. I also have extensive experience with senior care, memory care, rehabilitation, & as a home care assistant. I am proud of what I do. I bring a calm presence with me & it helps to get to know everyone on an individual and personal level. I love being a caregiver because I love taking care of people. I am a hard worker, very reliable, trustworthy, and I love to cook. I am currently taking some training to open an adult foster care. I just really enjoy doing this work.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I am compassionate and empathize with my clients. I am there to help them, YES but I want them to feel that I care about them and will be there when they need me. I became a caregiver and chose this path for myself because I know what it feels like to have no one beside me and also does my grandmother and that's why I have been by her side . Its something about putting a smile on another persons face or picking them up when they aren't feeling so well, gives me a certain type of strength and confidence knowing that I can do that for a person that needs it the most. I also take my work very seriously and I am a very reliable and flexible.

The knowledge of CNA and CMA, Over 10 years and the experience ,makes me a great caregiver. My great personalities are am honest, respectful and empathetic. My job and my personality has always been helping people and particularly old and disabled and helpless. I enjoy helping people who geneunly need help and doing my job professionally Personally I have achieved my goal of helping the helpless. Making them happy with life at their stages. I started caring for my grandma and papa. They did know how to speak English so it. Was easy for my. I was just graduating from highschool. I love being a caregiver it a good trade career. Some people an some. Can't you must do it from the heart.

What makes me a great caregiver is my organization and ablity to multitask, I'm a reliable person. I enjoy people and treat people with respect. I've been a caregiver for 30+ years the reason I became a caregiver is, it's given is the ability to help other people, live the best posible life they can live. What I enjoy the most is watching people smile and heal. The thing I'm most proud of is raising my 4 children to be healthy young men.

I have earned the Basic Activity Director Certificate, an Introduction to Guardianship Certificate, as well as completed Hospice Basic Training I & II. I am certified in American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED and I have an Oregon Food Handlers certificate. I can help with domestic duties including light cleaning, laundry, meal planning/prep, assist with appointment scheduling, transportation, shopping, and running errands. I can assist with bathing, offer companionship throughout the day, can engage individuals in meaningful conversations and activities based on their interests whether in-home or out in the community. I am willing to assist with specialty projects, home organizing, light gardening, and event planning. I am experienced in patiently instructing older adults how to use technology.
