I had a brother who passed from cancer and a mother who passed from dementia. After caring and helping both mother and brother I felt very compassionate for others. Spending time with the person listening to the life stories or experiences they've gone through. The person in my care having a Positive experience while in my care.

I have great passion working with seniors and people who need help as well. Have developed and it has been my interest to not only work with elders and others but also to fellowship with them as well. Hello, my name is Elisa I am 59 years old My caregiving started in 1995 , as my Mother became ill , I knew she would want a high level of in home care that I would personally be able to provide. As her illness became more advanced , it was important to me that she be able to stay in her home where she would be more comfortable. A few time a week turned into every day, then several hours a day. My Mothers wishes to be at home in her time of need was fulfilled . And it was a blessing and a honor to be there for her. I found myself wanting to give other families the same opportunity my Mother was given. I continued working closely with other families as well as with the IHSS of King Co. from 1995 till 2001.Then in California in Contra Costa Co. From 2002 - 2009 then , I returned back to Washington State where I have continued my work with private families. I'm retired from boeing but I do some care giving I'm a very compassionate loyal trustworthy and punctual person. I love to make seniors smile, laugh, and take on outtings if they wish, and are able to do. My love for Seniors started when my Aunt went to a Rehab center. I realized how much she enjoyed our outtings, playing games, and reading to her. She passed. It prepared me for the care of my Mother, who has now passed. On my time off, I enjoy my 3 grandkids. Have a cabin in leavenworth that we enjoy. I enjoy reading, canning, cooking and weekend trips in the PNW.

To me Caregiving is a passion, i enjoy doing it! I started with my grandmother who had breastcancer and being by her side everyday of her last days gave me so much joy, since then I knew helping the needy is what I wanted to do.
