I have been a caregiver for fifteen years and am very qualified. I enjoy assisting others with there needs and when they can no longer take care of themselves. Caregiving is something that I am very passionate about. I make sure that my clients are well cared for and show them respect as if they were my own family. I am a very outgoing and a motivational communicator with excellent in home care skills.

I am a naturally caring person, who was raised by my grandparents, so I love and understand the elderly. I love hearing the stories of the past. I love getting to know the families and people involved in their lives. People are important and every person has value and a story to tell! I helped to take care of my grandmother as she was aging and I look back on that time w fond memories. Helping others stay in their home. Making someones life just a little bit easier can have great rewards. I took religion is college, of which I have 3 yrs. I have raised two children, and have been involved in my church over the years. I am now helping to raise two of my grandchildren which I adore! I am faithful and loyal, kind and gentle to others. I am honest and trustworthy.I love gardening, my grandchildren, and nature and all animals, especially cats and horses. In my younger years I was a CNA for about 10 years. Then helped my husband in the restaurant business for quite a few years, then went into janitorial at Hood River High Sch for awhile. I now have an additional 7 yrs (?) in caring for others. I love people! Now that I am a little older, I am enjoying taking care of the elderly and have a good understanding for what they need. I have been doing so for a number (10?) of years. I am a pretty easy going person to wk with.

I believe that I would be a great caregiver because I truly have a compassionate heart that really allows me to be a perfect caregiver. I am very patient with my clients and my focus is to help out their needs. I truly like helping others out. I am a student at Mount Hood Community College to major in Nursing and I would like more experience with the elderly people. After caring for my mother, who passed away from lung cancer, over twenty years ago; and then my oldest sister, who passed from complications from heart disease, I realized that caregiving chose me. I am caregiver from the heart. For me, being a caregiver, means: to give a care. And this is what i do, naturally, I give of myself, from a caring and kind heart. Caregiving is more than just a job or career choice, it's who I am, as a human being. I like being there to care for others, through one of the lowest, venerable times of their lives: to let them know that they are not alone, that they will be cared for, for as long as they need to be, and that, they are loved. To be the one person, that my mother and sister chose, to be their caregiver, and also, the one to be there through their personal transition, to the other side of life. I am a 54 years young, mother of three adult children, and six beautiful grandchildren, of whom, I love and treasure with all my heart. I live each day, in gratitude, with the knowledge that we are not promised tomorrow, so I choose to live, to laugh and to love, giving breath to each new day, and embracing it to the fullest of my capacity.

I have always found it rewarding to help someone in a time of need. I think about when I need someone, I hope they are genuine and caring and let me keep my independence and my dignity. So that's what I aim to do for the people I care for.

I think what makes me a great care giver is that I am very loyal, and I truly have concern for the person I care for its not just a job its part of my life. I became a care giver when my mother had a stroke and was confined to a wheel chair and could no longer care for her self. What I like about being a care giver is that I am able to help someone who truly needs and would not otherwise be able to live a productive life without my help, my personal achievement as a care giver has been to follow through with my commitment to the end
