Hello I tend to be more on the positive side like to see the person smile. Getting to know the person listening to the person telling me about the amazing life. I had a brother who passed from cancer and a mother who passed from dementia. After caring and helping both mother and brother I felt very compassionate for others. Spending time with the person listening to the life stories or experiences they've gone through. The person in my care having a Positive experience while in my care.

I have over 10 years experience as a caregiver. I have worked for home health care agencies as well as private clients. I have also worked as a live in care giver. In my career as a caregiver, I have worked with clients with various conditions including dementia, Alzheimer's, stroke, diabetes, cancer treatment, hospice. I enjoy working as a caregiver because it is a rewarding job. I get satisfaction in knowing that I was able to be of help to my clients in their time of need. It gives me joy hearing my clients appreciate the help am able to offer. I am very observant and pay attention to detail, because of that, I am able to offer recommendations to my clients and aides that will make their everyday living easier. I am kind, patient and I take care of my clients as I would my own family or as I would love someone else to take care of my family. Most of the families I have worked with over the years are now part of my family.

Personally i have empathy and compassion to people with various condition like,pple with disability due to impairement,sickly pple who need my assistance. What i enjoy most,is when i give care to the client and help them gain their self confidence and treat them equally and with respect and by the end of the day is rewarding to see that person happy and fulfilled.

I started caring for my grandma, who had a stroke after my grandpa died. I started caregiving by taking care of my own mother, when I saw how happy she feels by having me around, I felt blessed doing it and when she passed, I extended the same compassion to others. I really enjoy it when I notice that I have made a positive impact on the life of my client; I can remember being called God sent by the wife of one of my clients; the gentleman returned home after spending months at the hospital and rehab, he lost his ability to walk and speak. after I was called in as a caregiver, he regained his mobility and speech because we had to engage with him not just as a client but as a loved one...

I am a people person and love taking care of people. At the end of the day, it makes me feel good to know I helped someone else. I tend to go above and beyond for others, it comes natural for me. Going through the training to become certified has been a personal achievement, I was nervous at first, thought it would take forever. When I finished the training and became certified I felt great, because I could continue taking care of others. I am Covid-19 vaccinated.
