I became a caregiver in 2011 I am CPR certified,I have my Nurse Delegation,Dementia &Alzheimer's, Developmental Disabilities speciality training,Mental Health ,Insulin Delegation i have all my certificates of competition. It is my passion to take care of others it has always been my dream job since I was little I wanted to become a nurse, I enjoy working with the clients of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds and have a demonstrated ability to develop great relationship with them and their families. Moreover, I am trustworthy and responsible person who takes great pleasure in all kinds of caregiving tasks. Besides, I am dedicated to work hard and always accept challenges to produce winning outcomes. Over and above, I am an active team player who is able to work effectively with managers and co-workers. I have been in many setting witch includes an adult family home where I cooked,cleaned,bathed,and did medication administrations along with patient adls with 6 residents to myself for 12 hours a day. Ive also worked at rehabilitation facilities,assisted living as a med tech. My favorite thing about what i do is knowing that i play a special part in someone's life who can no longer take of themselves and i get the privilege to do so and having the trust of it being all in my hands. Im very proud of myself for sticking with being a caregiver and getting all the diffrent trainings i have and experience i have gotten from it.

I having been a police for over 25 years, my career changed suddenly in 2018 after I lost my sister to cancer. I was away when she passed on and when I came back I was told that my sister's health detorriated so much and she had no caregiver to assist her even to get to hospital at times perhaps she would have atleast lived longer if there was someone to assist her. I was disappointed to know this and from that day on I decided to go out and care for those who need help so here I am and I always want to give the best I can.

I believe I am a grwt caregiver because I have a compassion an patience for people. My grandmother has Parkinson's disease and I always wished I could care for here instead of removing her from Home. But honestly it was best because she not only does likes the place she likes the people gave gotta close to a lot. But I am a outgoing bubbly kind of person an love to work with the elderly I am nurse delegated an have trading in mental health an dementia I have worked with memory care center, assisted living and skilled care.

A little about me, I started caring at a young age such as my grandparents started when grandma had a stroke and lost all mobility on right side. I guess I just stay with it knowing how I can help someone in his or her time of need. For one to consider this responsibility one would need to carry out alot of compassion to care for another. There are alot of challenges but there are rewards from helping others. I'm proud that I can make a difference of allowing my abilities to help others.

Caring for the elderly is something I am very passionate about. I learned early on that providing quality care improves quality of life. Being able to see just how much I make a difference has been immensely rewarding for me. My most recent experience has been in post surgery care and this too is very rewarding as I get to be an encourager and an enforcer so that patients can get stronger and live on their own.

I have been a Medical Assistant for 3 years, working primarily in Internal Medicine with an older population. I love taking care of older patients and hearing stories. The older population of lewis co. Has such limited resources, I would love to give back what I can on my days off!

Hello my name is Karla, I have been a caregiver since 1998. Besides caregiving I also have a love for animals, dogs, cats, horses, etc. I live on a small farm in Vader. I knew I wanted to be a caregiver when I was 16, my grandfather moved in with us and we hired hospice to help us care for him. I was in awe of the help we recieved from these wonderful ladies. I worked in a hospital for 20 years. I started out in housekeeping then went to school to recieve my Certified Nurses Aide certificate for Washington state. I have worked in many aspects for the hospital from babies to hospice, emergency room to recovery. I choose to do in home health care when I moved to Vader. I enjoy in home caregiving because I get to meet very interesting clients and families. I enjoy the slower pace of caring for a client one on one. From bathing, playing games, Dr appointments, cooking and cleaning their homes. I am happy to do what it takes to keep your family member safe and happy in their home environment.
