What makes me a good home care aide is my dedication to what I do. I give my best to serve / help my client in any way I can. I became a home care aide because I want to work with and help seniors. I believe that taking care of them is like taking care of my own mother. Aside from having the chance to serve / help seniors, what I like about being a home care aide is its flexible work schedule. Seeing my client satisfied and happy with what I do for him / her is a personal achievement I am proud of.

I'm a outgoing, fun, energetic, common sense, respectful, caring, loving and honest women. I've always loved caring for others when in need. I started as a caregiver in 2005. I have been an administrator of a CBRF Assisted Living for 7 years. I have skills and knowledge of providing quality care to seniors. Assisting with meal prepping, bathing, dressing grooming, toileting and passing medications. I am an advocate for the seniors and love providing excellent care to the seniors.

I became a Certified Nurse Assistant because I understand how difficult life and decisions can be without basic support on variable mental, emotional and physical levels. I feel that is where my passion and dedication to help others roots from. In my early childhood, the relationship between my grandparents and I was unique and special to me. I would go above and beyond to be helpful around the house whether it was dusting, washing the car or even cleaning up the mess made by the fish my grandfather caught and cleaned for a meal. Many of times, I would just do without being asked. Ultimately, no matter what the duties were, it always gave me this great rewarding feeling inside just being helpful in making the day/night easier for them. Im proud of being able to extend my natural capabilities to anyone/ families who can benefit from assistance.

I started my cna journey working in a kitchen at a nursing facility and I began to interact with the residents and I noticed most of them weren't getting the correct care and genuine care so I got inspired and took the class to become one myself. The thing I enjoy most about being a cna is feeling like I'm doing my purpose that I feel I'm called to do by being that person that can help and even if it just made a difference for a minute of their day. I am extremely caring and sentimental, I am very patient, I like to ask a lot of questions to insure their comfortability, I'm good at adapting person to person and redirecting those that may be a little confused. The most personal achievement I feel I'm proud of is before I became a cna I was patient but nowhere near enough to handle this type of job but as soon as I started connecting with the residents as a dietary aide my patience just hit like a truck and it changed my perspective on the whole job itself and the importance of the role.
