I became interested in care giving because my Mom was in an automobile accident which left her paralyzed & my sister-in-law was in an automobile accident which left her with a brain injury. I was my mom's caregiver from age 17 until I was married at age 22. While living in Greenwood, IN, I worked for Companion Care as a cargiver. My Mom moved in with us in 2010, I took care of her until she passed in 2016. I enjoy helping people to be able to live at home without having to live in a nursing home. I prefer not to bath & dress, I helped my mom with bathing & dressing, however it was something I did because it needed to be done, I was never comfortable with this part of her care. If I get to know the person and they need help every once in awhile, I will do anything to help them. I was with 2 of my clients in Greenwood, IN until they passed away, I prefer the one on one attention I can give when working with an individual in their home.

I love people and have a special place in my heart for the elderly! I lost my own parents 20 years ago my dad was a ww2 vet and oh how I miss his stories! I am compassionate caring dependable and trustworthy ! I have been background checked and will care for your family member as mu own!

Hello I been in the medical field for about 15yrs and I'm currently a HHA ATTA and HMK. Im am also a direct personal support. I'm a mother of 4. I have 2 girls and 2 boys. I been doin foster care for 4.5 yrs. I love working with the elderly. I enjoy taking care of them listen to them doin earrings for there.

I have been a nurse for almost 20 years. I became a nurse because I enjoy helping others. I have always had a special place in my heart for the elderly and throughout the years I've always seemed to gravitate in that direction. I've worked in skilled care doing IV therapy, wound care, and g tube feedings along with many other skilled duties to include administration of chemotherapy and IV pain medication. I also have a special place in my heart for disabled children and adults. I have an adult son with Angelman syndrome who now resides in a group home setting. I'm now wanting to branch out on my own. I want to give care to individuals on a 1 on 1 basis. I've also had experience doing palliative care as I once worked as a palliative care nurse.

The reason I would be a great care giver for you is because it makes me happy to be able to help others in need. At 17 years old I fought a long and very hard battle against Acute Myloid Luekemia and underwent lots of Chemotherapy and a Bone Marrow Transplant followed by graft versus host disease of the liver and skin and other complications. I was very sick for 3 years of my life and now I am in remission and full of life and wanting to help others. I have seen and been through many things through the years I was ill that I know my patient would feel comfortable around me knowing that I was once in a similar predicament. I will do my best to make them comfortable and give them the care they need as well as my support and love.

I am young and am willing to put my body to work to help the others than cannot. I enjoy spending my time with the elderly and giving back. Even if its not with the elderly all the time, I still enjoy giving back to those who are suffering from illnesses. If I can help, I will in any way I can. My stepmother is a Nurse Practitioner and most of my family consists of Nurses. This made me want to get my foot in the door for nursing school so I became a CNA. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is being able to feel accomplished when helping someone. I love that I am able to be trusted and counted on to help an individual out. Personal achievements I am proud of is the thought that I can make someones day just by helping them do little tasks that maybe they aren't able to do anymore.

I would like to start off by saying that I absolutely love taking care of people and thoroughly enjoy making a difference in peoples lives. I started off with my first forever friend about five years ago and the Joy I get from being able to offer help others inspired me to continue. As of now I currently work part time as an independent housekeeper but would love to find another Caregiver job, since this is my calling.
