You enjoy a home-like environment. 4) My personal reason for becoming a caregiver was the changes my family was going through with my grandmother. when my grandmother was 88 years old she was still walking, feeding herself, changing clothes herself, she was able to do everything on her own. never needed help. But it tooks us to take to a doctors to doctors appoiments that sooner and later we found that her kidneys working so days after she ended up in the hospital and we had to make a descion on putting her on dyalises or leaving her go couple months and putting her to hospice. It was decsion for us but we decided putting on dylises and know we went from walking and doing everything her own to wheelchair, week, walker, nurse aide, 3 times a week dyalises treatment, cant stand up by herself.
