Approximately 15 years ago, I became my mother's Caregiver after she came home from Rehab for a major stroke. After working in a Family Medical office for a couple years, I began my Caregiver career. In the past 10+ years, I have worked as a Home Health Aide and CNA, providing many services to families and their loved ones, including (but not limited to) Alzheimers, Dementia, Quadriplegic, and Hospice Care. Services provided include companionship, transportation, meal prep, feeding, light housekeeping, pericare, input/output, taking and recording vitals, catheter care, colostomy care, medication reminders, assistance with bathing, showers, dressing, transfers, wound care maintenance, and oxygen maintenance. My special focus has been with Alzheimer's and Dementia care. I am a CNA and certified in CPR and First Aid, and continue to work on completing additional medical courses and pursue avenues to help strengthen me as a Professional Caregiver. I also maintain current Individual Professional Liability Insurance. Your loved ones peace of mind, comfort and health is my priority.

I became a caregiver simply because I've always enjoyed taking care of people. When I was a little girl, I would take care of my mother when she became ill. She always encouraged me to become a nurse. Being a great caregiver is having compassion, a desire to ensure the well being of others and being dedicated to providing excellent care. I started giving care at a younger age, taking care of my auntie with a left-sided weakness due to stroke. It was within the family and a non-profit payment job but a rewarding one. I believe giving care is a calling not just a job. I felt a very great joy to be part of her life and assisting her with the rest of my family before her passing. I'm a great caregiver I try an do everything the client needs me to do plus some. I try an be the best I can to turn the client mood around if they are in a bad mood. I love what I do everybody keep asking me to go back to school to be a nurse but then whos going to do my job.
