What makes me a great caregiver is that I am compassionate and empathize with my clients. I am there to help them, YES but I want them to feel that I care about them and will be there when they need me. I became a caregiver and chose this path for myself because I know what it feels like to have no one beside me and also does my grandmother and that's why I have been by her side . Its something about putting a smile on another persons face or picking them up when they aren't feeling so well, gives me a certain type of strength and confidence knowing that I can do that for a person that needs it the most. I also take my work very seriously and I am a very reliable and flexible.

I cared for my late father when he had a stroke twenty four years ago and I developed a tender heart for the elderly. I love working with them and I believe they need love, special care and attention in their old age just like my dad offered me a lot of love, care and attention in my young age. I am a warm, loving and caring person and I would like to make a difference in a person's life, treat them with respect and love, through music, through a word of encouragement, through a smile, a warm embrace an acts of kindness. I am reliable, detail oriented, respectful, creative and organized. The best time was when one of the elderly people who hasn't been talking or saying anything for a while started singing when I was playing a song on the CD and humming along, I felt so accomplished and victorious in that moment. I made a difference in her life that day, through music.

What makes me a great caregiver is my organization and ablity to multitask, I'm a reliable person. I enjoy people and treat people with respect. I've been a caregiver for 30+ years the reason I became a caregiver is, it's given is the ability to help other people, live the best posible life they can live. What I enjoy the most is watching people smile and heal. The thing I'm most proud of is raising my 4 children to be healthy young men.

Hello! Thanks for stopping by. I've always loved caregiving, and hope I get the chance to extend some care into the lives of you and your loved ones. Since I was a very young girl when asked what I want to do I've always been able to respond in the same way: I want to help people. I've always been driven to grow and improve. This desire also extends out to the people around me. As a caregiver, I go out of my way to ensure my client's needs are met before that of my own. I try to get to know each person as what they really are: an incredible human being, with a LOT to offer. I always try to learn something from my incounters, no matter how brief the engagement. I'm a people person. I'm flexible and compatible with, I would say, just about every personality type. Just for the simple fact that I accept people for who they are and where they are. I like to say, essentially, I will meet them where they're at in life. What attracted me to being a caregiver is my desire to help people live as free and independent as possible. I enjoy being a caregiver because I love people and their company and I love hearing their stories of where they've been and what they've done. I think what I love most about being a caregiver is just the fact that I'm empowered to give a piece of myself to someone, to hopefully make their life better or more comfortable. I have a lot of achievements, but I think the one that I'm most proud of is the one where I had a client who would not allow anyone to draw their blood or do any kind of testing on them that was really necessary to make things better for them and get them a proper health care assessment. But, they were willing to put down their guard for me. Because of me they allowed work to be done and I can't tell you how thrilled I was that I would have that effect on somebody.

I've tried many different jobs through out my life and have found the most satisfaction in caring for others. I enjoy helping others in any way I can. I'm a single mom of an 11 year old boy. I've been a CNA since 2001. I've gone to school at PCC, specializing in gerontology, end of life care, and dementia. I've worked in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and in home. I'm a hard worker and am always trying to come up with new ways to improve the lives of the ones I care for.
