I helped care for my grandfather from the time my grandmother passed and started off with light duties, such as chaffeuring him around, running errands, preparing meals, and helping him get undressed and in bed. Over the course of my care, my duties expanded to helping with medication, scheduling appointments, transferring from bed to wheelchair, and showering/bathing. I am a very caring and loving person and find it easy to get along with anyone I meet. I pride myself in always seeing the best in people and trying to understand an individual's point of view. Since I was a young boy, I cared deeply about the well-being of others and making people feel comfortable. I love connecting with people and learning and sharing their interests. I'm proud to say that my grandfather lived to be 84 and enjoyed a comfortable six years under my care when the doctors believed he would quickly follow his wife.

Being a loving and compassionate caregiver is more than a job; it's a way of life. I'm a loving mother of five beautiful children ages twelve, ten, eight, seven, and six. Three girls and two boys. Believe me when I tell you I know a thing or two about being a caregiver. I know how important it can be to pick the right person to care for your loved one. But look no further I'm here to help and care for your loved one as if they were my own. I'm bilingual speaking both English and Spanish, I'm good at taking notes, cooking, cleaning, and helping with personal hygiene. I look forward to answering any questions you may have. I am a very caring person. I love making ANYONE around me smile, even if I don't know someone, if one crosses my path and looks down I will do something funny so I can see it brightened their day. Everyone needs to feel special and know that SOMEONE in their life cares if they are ok and happy. I am that one that will care no matter the situation. I am very compassionate and I love to talk with people. The elderly always have very interesting stories. I became a caregiver because I want to help others by being able to stay in thier homes and live a normal life.

I enjoy getting people personalized care and getting to know someone so that I may provide that kind of care. I originally became a certified nursing assistant because I wanted to go in to be helping profession and I figured it was a good way to know if nursing was where I wanted to go but offered to help school along the way. My favorite thing about being a CNA is the wide variety of people I need and the stories I get to hear them tell. It is very enriching to get to know somebody it be a part of their life and be able to help them as well. I think the biggest achievement that I am most proud of is continuing with my education even after realizing nursing isn't where I wanted to be and choosing social work through that.

I love to take care of those that are in need. I got into caregiving when my husband became ill with Multiple Sclerosis. I understand having a love one who is sick and needs help first hand. I have worked in assisted living facilities, state schools, home health and doing private care. I am Cpr certified . I have dealt with disabled and dementia clients. I will treat your family member as one of mine.

With a background in classroom teaching, I am a good listener and I am very patient when dealing with patients and minor. I developed this passion for caregiving and the health sector when my own father was sick. I saw firsthand how little much impact little sacrifices can bring to a person in need. After my parents passed away, I vowed to continue extending my helping hands to others in need.
